I'm not saying that soccer is stealing talent from boxing in the mexican community as a whole. All I said was that in NEW YORK CITY and this is the only city I am talking about ! In Los Angeles there is a huge mexican population just like there is a huge mexican population here in NYC however the NYC mexicans don't box very very few of them are in the gyms

Steven Luevano is already a featherweight champion with two title defenses if I'm correct. He's truly a great talent. A fight between Luevano and Linares would be awesome.

Steven Luevano, Jorge Linares, and Edwin Valero will be the 3 Kings of the Featherweights in the near future.

Mexican Boxing on his knees? What kind of crap is that?

Some of the biggest stars are leaving but there are several great fighters right now and quite some talented prospects on their way to championship.

A majority of the fighters mentioned are at the stage of their career where they should start to lose the edge. Juan Diaz will be back even stronger imo and it was the cut that beat him, nothing more.

I agree with you PacBeast, Marquez has already convincingly bested Pac twice and has nothing left to prove :good

Knowledgable boxing fans will of course disregard the judges spurious verdicts and remember who won 20 rounds out of 24.

    Viva la Raza

Do you know the meaning of convincing???? Why didn't JMM convinces 2 of the Judges & all the HBO crews???

I give you a sample Convincing Victories: Pac vs MAB 1 & 2, Vs EM 2 & 3, Those are convincing. JMM doesn't have one of those against Pac. JMM win against MAB is not convincing enough that a lot of fans is still debating. Save your Bragging rights to somebody else!!!:hey

JMM outclassed pac in both fights and won them imo. I give Pac credit for his 1st win over Barrera but since then he has only beat fading fighters or guys who never had it to start with. (theres a reason why only 3 of his last 9 opponents were coming off a win ;) )

    Outclassed? Bull****!

how can you outclass a boxer when you got Knock down a total of 4 times at least? :hi:

the first fight was a draw thanks to that stupid judge... now the second fight was very close it could go either way but to say JMM outclassed pac in both fight is plain stupid!

THIS impartial fan will remember Pac/JMM I as essentially an 11 round schooling, and Pac/JMM II as a close yet definitive victory for Marquez. :hat

Because those of us watching with any degree of impartiality recognise that Pac did little else over the course of 24 largely befuddled rounds :thumbsup

Outclassed was a bit strong but he ********* Pac easily and you dont win fights because of just a KD the fights may have been closer on the cards due to the KD's but they were clear wins for JMM (especially the 2nd fight)

Pac is the marketable fighter and thats what got him the nod.

Also, dont discount sheer judging incompetence.
