There are hundreds of fighters not in the Hall better than Barry McGuigan. And he'd arguably be the worst heavyweight in the Hall. Third worst at best, out of about 50.

Hell yeah Michael needs to be in! I used to love Michael Moorer especially cause he use to rep Detroit and Kronk. He was a beast at Light Heavyweight and was a 2 time Heavy Weight Champion beating Holyfield and Schulz! Give the guy his credit! I heard he was doing some training with Roach at Wild Card these days!

you really believe he should be given credit for being a southpaw? he was the first one, yeah. but who gives a ****?

that doesn't make his career better.

Yes he deserves credit for being a the first southpaw heavy weight champion. Its a style of fighting that is brought up when discussing fights all the time. It makes a difference in the ring whether you are fighting a southpaw or not!

    it's a huge accomplishment !?!? :rofl:rofl:rofl

we'll end this right now i think.

jack johnson becoming the first black heavyweight champ has huge significance... there's a whole story there. it's a massive part of the history. not just for the sport, but life itself.

that has importance. michael moorer being the first southpaw heavyweight champ, does not. it's a foot note.

It's hard to have a legacy and longevity at a weight division when you're making weight by eating a bowl of soup and an apple a day and then cutting massive amounts of weight.

No, but I agree with the sentiment that Barry pretty much opened the door for anyone who ever won a title to have a chance to get in.
