Those "wins" against Holmes are VERY debatable.

But as a LHW, he's an ATG no question.

Retirement or not, 91 seconds is hard to swallow. I could probably find 50 fighters ranked higher.

Yes, top 40 is very possible, too.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeelll yey!!! IMO he is a top 25 atg, you can even make a case for best LH ,although i have him 2 or 3. To jump up to HW and beat the Linear champ was a great feat and never done before. ( dont go therir with Fitz)

    2nd win was debatable

He ruled the roast of one of the greatest LHW eras, cleaned it out. Was the first LHW champion to beat the reigning HW champion. I'd have to say yes without a doubt. But don't tell Bert Sugar this, he doesn't even have him in his top 100

If he's not top 50, he's got to be very close. He was one of the two or three greatest LHWs ever. I don't give a sh*t what happened against Tyson. As a LHW he was unbeatable, and fought in one of the strongest LHW eras ever.

    Not for me.

People rank the Holmes win too highly.
If timelines were different and he fought Holmes 3-4 years before he did how do you think that would have turned out? Holmes UD allday long for me.

I've never done a top 50 so i cannot say for definite. He would certainly be one of the people i would consider him anyway, whether he would make the final cut i'm not sure

He got blasted out in 91 seconds in his final fight, when he was fighting past his prime way above his best weight against a fighter who many rate in the top ten all time at heavyweight, and who was at his absolute peak in that fight. But he beat everyone else that he faced, dominated a deep LH division, and scored a clean victory over Holmes in the first fight, and at the very least ran him close in the second.

Yeah...that's top 50 material as far as I'm concerned.

I'd say no. He was a great fighter, but I can think of 50 fighters that were better.
