Hahahahah you serious??? I meant his top fighters not his **** stable fighters, Eastman and Froch were his star names, when did Warren ever push for Hatton or Calzaghe to fight a lion in there prime never thats when!!! Warren didnt even want Hatton to fight KT but Hatton pushed so hard he had no other option, Warrens a fraud.

That was lame mate if you think giving two **** fighters a little payday is Warren taking risks.

By the way Pavlik and Cotto were both 1/33 to beat Lockett and Jennings Big Franky was taking a huge risk there wasnt he :patsch.

Naz wasnt a Warren fighter for those fights.

  4. Mate i really can see your point, i hate warren, my argument is that froch could be bigger under warren than under hennesey, plus warrens card are usually better then hennesys. Froch, murray, barker and fury are his future paydays. Warrens future cashcows are khan, degale, saunders, gavin, brook and they will all earn a good few quid and he promoted 2 of the biggest cash cows in britain in the last 10 years in calzaghe and hatton, naz earned a fortune under warren. name 1 boxer whos got rich under hennesey other than Froch

Skel ??? What the **** you on about mate ?? Getting Eastman shots at fights in the US is bad form for a promoter. Warren gets his stars fights in their backyards constantly. THATS A GOOD PROMOTER. Whether you like him or not Warren does his fighters good and gets them paid. Hennesey doesn't.

Its not like it was hard for Hennesey to get Taylor a world title shot at home was it

Totally agree mate hennesey is not an ideal promoter he is no good for top end fighters like Froch, and hasnt done anything for him other than get him shots, but I was just saying commercially he is crap but for match ups he is not bad, the undercard is awful that just proves how much he is behind Warren in terms of talent in his stable.

But i do applaud him and other British promoters like Hobson who are not scared to travel to the lions den when the odds are stacked against them in make or break situations, while Warren is happy to pad the **** out of his fighters.

  7. He helped promote the fights pal, alongside barry hearn i think? point is still valid mate cos calzaghe fought hopkins anyway...

I can see what your saying mate but like it or not the States is where the mecca of boxing is, and for someone like Calzaghe who was a Warren fighter who stayed home defending against bums most of the time is not nearly rated as highly as he should for the simple fact he stayed home under Warren.

I think you will find his top fighters all made more money after they left Warren Naz,Hatton,Calazaghe.

  9. Agreed totally, hobson and maloney are my favourite promoters, they aint fightened of making fights there fighters may lose, which of course boxing is all about, you wouldn't wanna see man utd play barnet, yeovil or tamworth would you when you could watch man utd paly chelsea, liverpool and barca and real madrid. i really take your point, but hennesey is ****ing us over and ****ing froch over, he should take whatever itv or sky offer, has the old saying goes 100% of nothing isnt as good as 50% of something.

Ok fair enough mate but Calzaghe made the break to the States about 5 years to late, and if Lacy had never agreedd to fight Calzaghe in the UK (no way Calzaghe and Warren would of gone to the States at that stage) the Hopkins fight would never of happened and Calzaghe would of probably been fighting Brian Mcgee or someone similar at the MEN.

Yeah I know what your saying too but at least they got there money, got their belts and then went on to get the big fights after that. If Froch gets beat in this tourny where will he go ? He wont have erned a mint an dwill be having to travel to get a belt or a payday again :good

But the Lacy fight did happen. Warren delivered it. He delivered the Kessler fight. He delivered the Tszyu fight for Hatton. And he delivered them all in the best situation for his fighter. Being prepared to travel abroad 'into the lions den' is all very well, but most of the situations you cite happened due to lack of options, rather than ambition. Froch didn't go to the states to fight Taylor because him and Hennessy are hard, they went because they couldn't get the fight any other way and didn't have any better options.

  13. Keys to being a good promoter are all common sense,
1)put your fighters in fights that they will win or have a good chance to win, dont rush a them.
2)try and get them fighting at home, crowd will love them and spur them on to give them a better chance of winning, and sponsors will be willing to pay more to secure imange rights and endorsements etc
3)make sure a fighter keeps there 0 as long as possible.
4)try and raise a fighters profile, whack them on non-ppv cards for aslong as need be and then cash in.

hennesey ignores most of these or doesnt apply these effectively.
    1) he nearly got his fighter (fury) beat by a seasoned vet.
2)fair do's he gets froch home fight advantage at nottingham, but by now whole country should know who froch is, froch should be defending at wembley, millenium stadium, nia, or m.e.n. not a 8000 or so trent fm arena.
3)see point 1 as it is applicable.
4)carl froch fought on itv, great, but then he should be fighting primetime on sat night or should be on sky box office, you tell me wether youd pay for baker, murray, fury ppv's, i wouldnt!
    thats my 2 cents, thoughts...

  14. :goodfair enough i do agree, as i say mate thread title is hennesey is a wank promoter, not warren is a crooked wanker who only wants home town fights and wants his fighters to fight competition when they are either shot or coming back from a long layoff.

I am totally staggered he has not done a deal with Sky.

Now we have 4 PPV this autumn.

    Froch - Dirrell
    Haye - Goliath
    Paq - Cotto
    Khan fight

Not all boxing public will choose all 4, people will prioritise, with such lack of promotion, Froch will not get all his buys.
