The Toy Bull Dog,Mickey Walker was undeniably a great fighter, he battled them from welter to heavy. Walker is recognized as a p4p great but do we perhaps rate him higher in a divisional sense, [ ie at welterweight ,]than he merits? Discuss.
I think Walker gives anyone you would care to mention a very hard fight at welter or middle, and on a given day is more than capable of winning...so in my opinion, No...not overrated in a divisional sense.
You do. Just the other day I was like, Un what do you think of Mickey Walker? And you said, the toy bulldog could beat any welterweight in the world today. I said, he's dead, ya dig. And then you said, not dead enough. I disagreed but our steaks came out so I dropped it. But I remember...
True story. But notice you were talking about Mickey Walker, while I was talking about the toy bulldog. The one that has terrorized and haunted me since i was six years old. I didn't even hear your question about Walker, I apologize.
I knew you were a reasonable man. No problem. We should get tacos. But don't tell BE he can be a little... rabid about his hand foods.
I don't find his welterweight record that outstanding. Walker suffers when you restrict him to one division, his greatness was his whole body of work across multiple divisions, a bit like Tommy Hearns. Head to head though, he's a very tough night for any welter.
