Is Miguel Cotto a better fighter now than he was Just before the Pacquiao Fight?

Mayweather's fans trying to hype Cotto up so when Floyd beats him, they can say it was a big win. Cotto's best days r behind him and a win for Mayweather or Pacquiao over Cotto now would mean very little

don't know if he's better now but he's still probably a hard fight for anyone

He did looked better but he won't be a better version of the old Cotto, why? because of all the wars he's been into, the human body has limits. His team can say that he is at a 100% level but for a guy who has fought so many battles that is impossible. And really at 154 he is way too small and he won't go down to 147. He should fight Floyd and retire as a one of PR best fighters.

He has accomplished a lot for a guy who has fought with only one hand.

    Worse.

He's the same fighter but older and more closer to shot than in 2009. He just fought Margarito slightly better by clinching.

He is the same fighter, but a fight with Mayweather will suit him better. He hates being relentlessly attacked, not outboxed.

I don't really buy the thinking that he's further from his prime, the Margarito fight clearly took something from him however I haven't seen any drop in his performances of late, in fact they've got better at 154lbs.

What new sharpened skills? You mean the clinching against Margarito? I wouldn't call that skill, more of a smarter game plan. This is the same fighter that fought Pac just 2 years older with one less beat down. How can he be better now?

I just don't see it. It's the same guy technically. Consider the level of comp since his loss to Pac. You really don't change as a fighter once you get into your 30's IMO. You are what you are.

The best trainer of all time couldn't have helped Cotto against Pac. By that time, Cotto was pretty much a finished product and about as technically sound as anyone in boxing.

Could be (regarding your second sentence). I hate Arum but respect a lot.

But you must be new to boxing. ''Ran''?:rofl I guess you think Ali also ''flat you ran'' most of his career then:rofl

Margo never big puncher?:huh You really are new to this sport aren't ya?

in the pac fight he was making more mistakes than usual and there was no one there to point them out to him. now, he's back to form...maybe a little shop worn...but still has a lot of tread left.

Who has Antonio Margarito stopped at 154 lbs?...He's a volume puncher...an arm puncher at that....He ran from Margarito...like he ran from Pac late in that fight. His skill is entirely overrated.
