I can go with this, good post. I don't see how could anyone disagree with this description. I would say that Cotto has about the perfect size for a welterweight, what he lacks in height he makes up with his frame.
Cotto is like a WW Hatton. He's not tall or long. However, he's stumpy and puts on a good amount of weight between fights and after the weigh in.
He's actually quite small but he's stocky strong and a good boxer, the fact that he's been as succesful as he has is a tribute to his overall skill. I believe his technical abilities will shine through more than any "so called" physical advantage in his next bout.
No. He's a normal sized welterweight. Heck, he's been smaller than most of the opponents he's faced at WW (Margarito, Quintana, Gomez, Clottey, etc.)
That is a lot for somebody that is supposed to be a WW. If boxing had same day weigh-ins Cotto would have to fight at Jr WW.
Smaller in height...but weight...Cotto is a HUGE WW. Cotto was 160 in the ring when he was at Jr WW. After all the **** they talked about Gatti...No wonder HBO is ashamed to weigh him on fight-night.
Of course williams is bigger. He's black. you know what they say about black people. Margo huge? Maybe. Not a lot of mexican are "huge" so..... And of course williams will be drained, after all blacks are huge, but limp. You know what im talking about right???
Next to Pacquiao he might be considered that but in reality no he is not in fact he is a rather small welter weight.
No ... he's not getting alot of knockout since his move up ... he's not really that strong ... I would say he was a big welterweight if he was able to move up to 154 and get a knockout or move up to 160 and buzz a natural middleweight.
