I'd prefer Pacquio or martinez for Floyds next fight but Cotto is the next best fight out there for Floyd, and it would sell well as he the next biggest name in an around the division and coming off a good win.

 

Not to mention Martinez is far more dangerous than a burnt out Cotto. If anything that is probably the real reason. Getting knocked out for peanuts is not a gd way to crawl away from the sport.

Good fight, Id rather see PAC or martinze but this would be my 3rd choice.....cotto in my eyes only has 1 loss and has been a legit champion in 3 different weight classes, it looks like he is gaining popularity too. Do I think he will beat Floyd? No. Does he have a decent chance? Yes if he trains harder then ever and makes Floyd uncomfortable in the ring, witch will be hard to do

totally agree...but it all hinges on cotto leaving top rank. add the mexican holiday into the equation...and it's more likely that he'll face a mexican opponent. i'd rather see cotto though.
