Is Miguel Cotto A Legit Opponent for Floyd Mayweather in May?

  1. I'd rather it were Pacquiao but, seeing as thats not happening I guess him or Alvarez is gonna have to do, I think Cotto could do well in this fight but I'm sure Floyd will eventually dominate the fight and win on points or by late ko/tko..

I now understand that May didn't fight Top Rank fighters not because of fear, just because he diodn't want to do business with Bob Arum. Cotto is more dangerous now than he was back then, and Mayweather is going up in weight to fight him. Cotto has a great trainer now too. Got nothing but love for Mayweather for taking on my boy Cotto. May the best man win.

As many know, I'm a huge Cotto fan and really wanted this fight prior to the plaster and PED beatdowns Cotto took. He was a more aggressive fighter in 2007/2008 and had a tremendous body attack. It was the best fight to be made in all of boxing.

Now, it's Floyd fighting another past prime guy with a name.

He is legit, considering what he has to choose from.
    Martinez would be better.
    Pac would sell bigger.
