    **** these Cotto-queens!

No one can prove Margo cheated.
No one can dispute that he got some favorable judging against Clottey.
No one can dispute that he got beaten like a step-child by Pac.
No one can dispute that he low-blowed Zab (who gets no respect around here) when he got in trouble.

So how is he supposed to be something so special? Who has he beaten to make it so? Or is it just because he's so "likeable" and ****.

Beating Yuri will do nothing for cotto's career or doubters. If he does win a belt at 154 will he be willing to face Martinez, williams e.t.c I doubt it at this stage.

I good fight for him would be to fight winky wright. He might be able to win that fight.

Do i think he's in decline? I'm not sure..

I think Arum just didn't give a **** about him, kept putting him in tough fight after tough fight.. Then his people (trainers etc) let him run the show, so they weren't correcting his mistakes, hopefully Steward can help him..

He will still beat Foreman tho..

Talk of putting him in with Pac again at a jr. mid catchweight, i hope thats bull****. That's just Arum tryna get Pac another strap at another weight, cos, like i said, he don't give a **** about Cotto.

I hope Cotto's made enough money so that, if he is in decline, then he would call it a day. I think he's got 3-4 more fights in him.

Yes it will, on both accounts. This would be the first time that he's won a non vacant title. A win here would also make him a 3 division champ. That's pretty rare. I'm a Cotto doubter, if he beats Yuri and looks good doing it, it will certainly alter what I think about Cotto. I believe the same would hold true for many Cotto doubters. Foreman is a tough fight for Cotto.

Cotto needs to realize that Bob Arum doesn't give a **** about throwing him to the wolves now. And if he beats Yuri Foreman, you better believe Bob's going to cash him out. Like a WIC Check.

Cotto has made plenty, and he doesn't seem like a complete idiot that would blow it. He should be fine.

yeah but its hard to gauge how good he was because to me the body punching monster who used to bully fighters at 140 was never there when he met the elite and bigger stronger guys at 147 which makes me think he hit the wall and wasnt gonna get any better. I seriously doubt how he would have beat a margarito type fighter because he could never make a dent in him and margarito out-willed him and took his heart. Plaster or no plaster you cant ignore that

Eh, I voted no because partly it is due to the change in competition and him getting his ass kicked which ****ed up his confidence. Umm, but I'm thinking the right answer is yes actually. He's mentally broken, therefor is not as good as he was.

I was going to post the same thing. I think everyone, including myself, just thought he was better than he really is. When in reality, at least in my opinion, he isn't that great. If you lose to Cotto you're not elite, if you beat him it doesn't really mean you are either though.

Edit: But to answer the question I do think he's past it a bit because of the beatings he took. At least mentally he is.

I think he is past his best. And I believe Arum knows this is the perfect stage to launch Foreman to stardom.

Wow, I just love how people will say Cotto is in decline BUT a near 39 yr old Mosley isn't. Wow.

If Cotto was in decline he would not have gotten past Clottey, as he had one hell of a nasty cut over his eye.

yuri foreman is a good fight for him

what you expect him to go onto a paul williams or martinez after losing 2 fights and a close fight with clottey?
