Of course he is. This is not debatable. Manny beat him up, and Margarito bashed him the face with bricks. If he was in his prime, Mayweather would not be fighting him.

 

Neither fighter is in his prime cotto is 31 and floyd is 35 but cotto has taken a lot more punishment. Is still a good fight i dont know why fans harp on those things fighters are different from fight to fight they are never the same plus styles make fight. Cotto could beat floyd and you'll have all the pac fans here gloating on how pac would kill him. But the fact is even if cotto beats floyd that doesnt mean pac would win vs floyd.

According to Max kellerman, Mayweather beat JMM at 147, so that means he is cleary a better fighter than Manny.

But when Pacquiao fought Cotto, people on this board was saying Cotto was past his best and is shot because of the beating Cotto received from Margarito.
