Stick With Me For A Second... Its A Question That Im Posing To You Guys That Has No Answer Until One Of Us Is Punched By Cotto.....

Of All Of Cottos Most Recent Opponents He Didnt Knockout Finish Any Of Them

Malignagi & Shane Both Made the 12 (although mal did get dropped)
Zab Just Sustained Too Much Damage
    Margarito Didnt Get Dropped Once
Gomez Didnt Lose By Knockout (although he was down 3x, none of them were damaging)
Urkal's Corner Threw In The Towel
    Quintana Quit On His Stool
Abdullev Had To Quit Because Of The Doctors

Does This Say More About Cotto's Strength Or His Opponents?
And What Do You Think? Is Cotto's Strength Over-Rated? Or Were They Just High Tier Opponents Who Could Take The Punishment?

    Defo not overrated IMO.
If anything it show's Miguel's punch pattern.
Most of those fight's listed seem to be from punishment
as opposed to him stting down on his shot's for a K.O.

Cotto has plenty of punching power, but he applies it
like a lumberjack cutting down a Tree.

be real.. Who in the welter weight divison has one punch knockout power that has faced that high level of quality of fighers? That should be the question.

Actually, while Cotto has better power than Paul. It isn't by as wide as a margin as you may think. Paul never really seriously hurt Margo, but he had enough power to keep him honest. Cotto brutalized Quintana. Paul stunned him with a LONG, QUICK, 3-piece and then hit him with a flurry of about 30 punches in 20 seconds... THAT is power by accumulation.

He doesn't have one punch power ... I don't think he's powerful ... I just think he commits to his punches well.

He's physically strong and he hits with quickness and accuracy. He has 1 punch KO power. How many 1 punch KO's do you actually see at the elite level really. When was the last time Oscar KOd someone with 1 punch? Does that mean he doesn't have 1 punch KO power either? Fail!

He didn't knock him out, but Vargas had no idea where he was at after eating that left hook from Oscar. I was just a formality after that. You never see Cotto put anyone on ***** street with one punch. He simply breaks his opponents down. The exception would be the Torres fight. He showed good 1 punch power in that fight.
