There is a certain user here we all know who´s often linked to this. But to be honest, I´ve only seen this in short statements of the General.
Even Johnny B put its like "Tyson is top 10 all time in terms of greatness and top 5 all time in terms of H2H matchups."

    Is Tyson @ top 5 H2H a myth?
The threads we had maximizing the H2H-question were pretty mixed up, with the #1 & #2 tend to be Lewis and Ali I think.

The series of mrkoolkevin I remember brought up Ali, Holmes, Lewis, Tyson, Foreman and Louis top 6 with a decent number of votes.

Well, Johnny B just went and picked Tyson to beat everyone with about 3 exceptions who he had as 50-50.
He picked no one to beat Tyson.
    But he's just one person.
The point is, the myth exists. And that's not surprising. Tyson is a famous larger-than-life figure.

It's interesting that a 5'10 heavyweight with 71 inch reach, short arms, and what would generally be described as a 'one dimensional' or 'one track' style, who LOST badly in his short prime to a non-ATG, never beat any prime opponent remotely considered an ATG heavyweight ...... would be picked by so many as a top 5 H2H heavyweight.
It goes against all orthodox thinking, especially of what has been termed the "modernist" crowd here.

Its very interesting too that another 6`5" H2H-Goat with 84" LOST even worse against lesser 6'2" fighters in a way, that he might be ready to go at any time in a fight. Not once by fluke, but twice. Did this H2H fellow ever continue fighting after getting a count in his career?

Its also interesting that a third primed 6'3 1/2" H2H-Goat had to dig so deep, crawling over the ring floor to beat a 35 year old fellow, before retiring against another 6'2" fellow he got a 20lb weight-advantage on, who was going to lose 3 of his next 4 fights.

Okay, you got me. His entire career was based on a video game and Don King opponents paid to fall down.

    Niels Bohr, first post.
Its not able to gather anything without a reference. Nothing. Nobody knows if (or how) a single superpositioned atom in space without interaction even exists.

Might we leave the very H2H top spots to the blueprint of the two defensive 6"3" quick, durable, rangy and well moving jabbers? Then again, I´ve seen fans knocking strongly on one of these beards.....

Holmes and Ali would be right up there, yes.
I don't think anyone knocks their chins.

Mike Tyson was a spectacular performer. He didnt just win fights it was the way he fought in conquering the heavyweight division. It sparked the imagination. He unified the belts by winning 9 title fights straight. None were close or competitive. A couple who managed to go the distance only did so by stepping off the road and waving the white flag....Tucker and BoneClutcher. Oh yea he had done it all in his late teens, early 20s.
He was one of a kind.

    And your point is ?!
I picked Liston, V. Klitschko and Lewis as the ones who are more likely to beat him, but it's no guarantee, the match could swing either way.
I also said that Tyson most likely beats W. Klitschko, although a W.K win is also possible.
Are you mad that I have a different opinion to you as to who would beat him ? o_O

They can get their asses KO'd, just like anyone else. In fact, Holmes got his by Tyson.
Ali was on put on his ass by an average cruiserweight in Cooper and by Frazier, and as we all know, there are many who hit way harder than those 2.
