He scrapes the top 10 unfortunately for mike he peaked when there wasn’t many big names about. He should of fought Bowe, shouldn’t have ducked Lewis earlier but those are the only slights against him.

Which of me or Burt knew more about the subject has got bugger all to do with it, sonny.

We're talking OPINION here, and Burt had more than a few right daft ones.

He got worse as he got older.

Fat Dan at ESPN follows the sport full-time, just like Burt did.

And sometimes I agree with his pronouncements and sometimes I don't.

You sound overly star struck with old Burt, like he was a god of boxing knowledge.

Not at all. facts are facts and the fact is he forgot more about boxing than you or I will ever know. no one will have the exact same opinions on everything. sure he had some i didnt agree with. your original comment was just so stupid and you got mad that i called you out on it. Ellen Degeneres

I don't think so but I can see the argument for it. If he is he comes in at the lower echelons.

Wlad could have beaten the dogcrap out of Holy when he was about 44. Personally I think it would have meant nothing (and so did Wlad, which is why he never fought him) but I guess there are guys around to whom this still means something. Ok.

You can very reasonably put him in and you can very reasonably have him outside. Doesn't matter.

You tend to fall in the latter group, correct?

And actually, taking this a step further, what does your top 10 HW look like these days? My basic order from the survey more or less mostly stands intact, but it has evolved/changed for me somewhat with time, and Tyson is one of those guys that tends to float on the cusp for me (if I were to stretch it to 15).

well given that a prime mike would have knocked out any heavyweight in history then yes hes a top 10 ATG

but given that his prime was quite short lived, and his overall career wasnt the best then you could say no hes not

who cares how where you place him really
