I did past it but I knew Hagler was the main man in `87 and I mentioned Curry also, but I didn`t know Ray was the P4P top guy briefly after beating Hagler, no biggie, just made me look like a better writer than the D for English lit guy that I was at school, cheers.

How different was Kevin Rooney as a trainer to the guy that trained Tyson for his bout with Lewis? Mike`s body lacked the same vim v Lewis.

Either way VK was way out of Moorer`s league, so were Lewis and Tyson for that matter.

I agree with Lewis and Holmes being 3-4 but Tyson is clearly behind Frazier and Holyfield and never alongside IMO. Personal opinions of course but the worst I can rank Lewis is 8 and the best I could rank Tyson would be 9. I have them 4 and 11 respectively.

Well reasoned post and I agree with certain points and can see where you are coming from with others.

For what it's worth I have Lewis at #3 and Tyson at #7. Thats based on their overall careers. I also rate Mike Tyson as the most dangerous fighter in the first 4 rounds in Heavyweight history and a h2h threat to anyone. And considering he was a small heavyweight that is some accomplishment indeed. It's just that the black marks on his career that make me judge him harsher than some. I must say I'm appreciating him a lot more recently, really enjoying watching his prime fights.
