Now I don’t think mike is even close to being the greatest heavyweight of all time, but when it comes to getting clean knockouts I don’t think anyone was better at it. Joe Louis is the only other ko artist I can think of that could deliver extremely clean knockouts, but I think mike was just better at delivering them. I also think Joshua is a great ko artist but I think we should see how his career plays out before we can really put him in the discussion.

Can anyone think of a better one than Mike?

I'd say he arguably is, YES. Joe Louis is probably his equal in this regard, YES. Maybe one or two others.

But, for me, it's not based on "clean knockouts", however that is defined.
It's based on how quickly he got his opponents out of there. Starting fast and taking them out early was Tyson's M.O. and he had it down to a fine art.

Tyson got more KO`s from counters than any other heavy, he was also the best fighter in history at countering the jab, which made him more dangerous than any other heavyweight.

Clean knockouts are fighters asleep counted 10 and more. Not moving. Tyson didnt score those. Louis and Marciano did. Good night sweet prince.!

I'd pick Louis first, but it's among these two.

    You could certainly argue yes.

I will temper it slightly and say he is definitely the greatest at getting quite good to lesser opponents out of there. He was just so aggressive and on fire early in his fights and he had all that speed and power with angles and combinations the division had probably never seen. He was extremely unique.

    agreed

Plus he is the rare guy who could ko people with either the right or the left hand, or a combination. He had not one but three ko punches (right hand, right uppercut, and left hook)

Mike doesn't get enough credit for ruining a lot of otherwise durable guys.

Berbick, Thomas, Holmes, ect. all known for their durability. Spinks had never been dropped before.

So yes, Mike has a real argument as the division's GOAT knockout artist.

Tyson stop many heavies that were biogger than the fighters Louis and Rocky KO`d, if Tyson hit tose smaller guys they would not have gotten up and he would have stopped a lot of those fighters quicker.

He's up there, he's gotta be. And he could drop guys that had never really hit the floor before. The first five rounds against the young, unbeaten Tyson, were the most dangerous for any heavyweight. Even in his last couple of fights, when he was finished, still managed to shake em up early and have them holding on.
