It would have been ballsy if he'd actually tried to win instead of just survive for a paycheck. That was cowardly.

Mikey was trying but Spence has 1 punch power. Spence can easily KO welterweihts just imagine a guy like Mikey who is a blown up featherweight.

I thought Spence went easy on him.

What he did in rd 9, he could have done from rd 6 onwards, and Mikey would have been KO'd.

Spence dominated the fight but Mikey did have a few flashes of being able to back Spence up, especially early on, which I was shocked to see. Obviously Mikey's power was decent enough to get Errol's attention but as the fight continued on I think the Mikey started to become quite sluggish from both the extra weight he put on (didn't look like he put it on properly,) and also because of Spence's terrific bodywork.

Garcia showed a lot of guts to take this fight. I think he could beat a bunch of the current WW's out there but he falls short when it comes to competing with the elite at 147. He's much better off going down to 140 lbs now (I don't know how conceivable making 135 will be now that he fought at WW.) The names aren't as glamorous at 140 as they are at 147, but he's such a talented fighter and I'd like to see him remain at one weight class and try to clean out the division. A fight or 2 at 140 lbs and than a showdown with Prograis would be a good path for him to go down.

Great respect to Mikey. The man took a beating but stayed in the pocket.

The great news for Mikey he can still fight those people and make the same money he would had got. Everyone gives him a pass by saying he was the little guy and expect normal service to resume when he fights in this weight class.

If he had lost before he fought Spence he would never had got the fight. Very smart move - great business sense!
