Ironically, Stallone has done a lot more for boxing than Mikey Garcia could hope to imagine. Very disappointing career given his talent and skill level. It’s almost hard to remember that at one point many fans were expecting him to be a contender for the top p4p spot.
I'm a big fan of Mikey. He was a very good fighter but he falls short of being a hall of famer imo. Mark Ant calling him garbage speaks more about Mark Ant and his lack knowledge about the sport than Mikey's talent which was off the charts.
Although not a first ballot hall of famer, he without a doubt has the credentials to make it in. Mikey was a legitimate 4 weight champ, didn’t win any vacant belts like Broner and also unified a division and became lineal in another one. Wins over JuanMa, Salido before taking Lomas 0, Easter Jr, Broner and Martinez is a pretty respectable list of opposition. He deserves it more than other fighters being considered for hof like Hatton for example.
Nope. No signature wins and he conveniently moved around good fighters around his divisions. He practically did what Gervonta Davis is doing now.
He's a better four-weight world champion than Broner but to be fair the later is one of the biggest hype jobs of recent times and his ''four-weight champion'' status is, like his beau Twink's, pure PBC smoke and mirrors
Good boxer who had no business above 140. Lazy and unmotivated nowadays. Thin resume, so I'm betting no.
