Is Mikkel Kessler out of the picture? The great Danish fighter has to make a comeback, but in a division lacking big names that's kind of hard to do. Will he need a rematch with Calzaghe and win to get any recognition?

Edison Miranda would be a good comeback fight.

I dont think so... US Networks both HBO and Showtime like him and have shown plenty of interest. His next fight V Miranda is on showtime and is in Canada and i think Bute defends his IBF belt on the card so the winner sets up a fight with Bute... If he beats both boys which ithink he does he is right back in it with the bcking of HBO & showtime which means he can defend againts guys like Taylor, Pavlik e.t.cAlso with Calzaghe more than likely vacating his belts, i think the can pick them up and become the undisputed Champ... A lose against Miranda or Bute spells disaster though

There are plenty of fights at SMW and I'm sure Pavlik won't be staying at MW for too much longer.

Go take a look at Kessler's own website :)

If everything goes according to the plan, my next opponent is going to be Edison Miranda 30 (KO 26) + lost 2 (KO 1). The exact date and place is still to be announced.

Miranda is a very good comeback fight - props to both guys for taking this fight. To Miranda for fighting the guy the others don't dare face and to Kessler for choosing a live and dangerous opponent instead of going "Mundine" on us :)

Carl Froch is another name that gets linked with Kessler's, especially if JC vacates his belts. Hopefully, a win against Miranda will keep him in the picture. After 1 loss, it seems too premature to write the guy out.

:ko no one can say that kessler is ducking or running from nobody.he face the best in the smw, kessler was calling out calzaghe several times.and now in the first fight after he´s defeat,he´s facing miranda.
i belive that kessler still have some great fights in him.after knocking miranda out in round 9....

Wouldnt have thought so, Kessler has everything going for him, he is well mannered, good looking and can fight, a promoters dream.

I think he has an abundance of fights at the weight and with his frame he can/will move successfully up to light heavyweight.

Of course he needs a rematch with Calzaghe . . . but he won't get it soon because JC is fighting . . . so he needs to get a "keep busy" fight.

    Calzaghe doesn't do rematches...

Kessler will need a major win to become interesting for Calzaghe Pavlik is proberbly the only "one" win that will do that. I think Calzaghe will have retired before Kessler can bring himself in a interesting position again. Too bad Calzaghe isn't a few years younger...

He should fight Miranda for his comeback and then maybe a fight with Bute for one of the vacant titles should Calzaghe choose to stay at 175.

No mater what Calzaghe chooses to do - he is not keeping his belts - he'll proberbly keep his WBO, but both WBA and WBC inforces their mandatories - and Calzaghe can't "afford" mandatories at this stage of his carer - so either way Calzaghe will e dropping the belts soon...
