Well It is not clear where they will fight but Montreal would be good. wherever they fight Kessler will beat Miranda like a dog.

It can not be in Florida per Kessler's team.
Montreal is a good possiblity for reasons I can not talk about.

I, myself, would rather see it inside the USA. I am afraid Montreal would no longer be a home field advantage for Miranda.

Both Miranda and Kessler are pretty well known in Montreal and have been involved in one way or another with Montreal fighters.

Pantera wouldn't you rather the fight be on neutral ground?

It is Warrior's show. They are allowed to have the fight anywhere in the USA (or Canada I assume) outside of Florida. I am sure Kessler's team would love Montreal. But, for Miranda's sake, why not take advantage of home field and have the fans routing for him? He will have enough against him as it is, might as well have the fans!

Maxime...if GYM is involved they couldn't give a rats ass about the June 7th show, since the May 24th show would out do it easily ! There'd be much more money involved for May 24th... If SHOWTIME or HBO are involved in MOntreal with 20 000 in the stands of The Bell Center instead of maybe 11-12 000 at Jarry Park on ESPN then the money doesn't compare !

I believe its INTERBOX that will be involved if it's in MOntreal, not GYM ! I think '' Jean Pascal '' needs to keep eating his wheaties in the morning if he hopes to improve and convince the big networks for a fight with guys like Miranda !!

Kessler made only one stipulation: Neutral location i.e. anywhere in US except in Florida!

When Miranda came to Montreal last December for the Pascal's fight, he had been really impressed to see 14 000 fans in the building with such crappy weather outside and for a boxing event. Also, fans were very nice with him in ringside. He signed lot of autographs.

So, as far as I know, he has a good opinion about Montreal. Yes the crowd would be pro-Kessler, but they will be first and foremost very proud and nuts to host such a major fight.

It might be smart to move the fight even closer to the Grand prix and them feed off each other

the grand prix will not need to feed off the boxing event but definately there's a massive amount of very high rollers during grand prix weekend and a high level boxing event could sell very well.

It simply doesn't make sence to make this fight on neutral grounds ... neutral grounds will mean less earnings for both boxers. Kessler has fought on hostile ground before and I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it again as long as the money is ok - and they will only be ok in a sold out arena - and I simply don't believe Kessler-Miranda can sell 10.000 tickets in montreal...

This fight only makes sense in Denmark or in the US. Hometown will sell tickets - tickets makes money and that is what pro-boxing is about :)

Bute + Kessler + Miranda sells 20,000 tickets in Montreal, more than anywhere else in the world where these three are the top billers. If it's in Montreal, it's EST, so the networks have no problem splashing out. Forthermore, it's neutral. Then, it's a place where people would be interested in seeing Miranda, due to the Pascal connection. Then, it's a place where people would want to see Kessler, due to the Bute connection. All boxing fans would be interested in this fight, not just Bute/Interbox stable fans, but all fans, Pascal/GYM stable fans and boxing fans in general - Canadians would come from far away to see this card, as would North Americans. Montreal is a great place for this fight!

I guess my friend you are not aware of the boxing scene in Montreal. Kessler-Miranda even w/o Bute or Pascal in undercard would be easily sold out in front of 20 000 fans.
