You're right, but if I was the network, I would prefer a 20 000 roaring crowd than a quiet casino crowd. It just makes a better TV show.

If Interbox will be in any way involved with it, Bute will be on the card. Interbox SHOULD be involved with it, if they can, even if Bute doesn't take as big a cut as usual - exposure would be huge in the USA and it would be great to have Bute on the same card as two/three (just ask sean) other top 10 SMW's, if Larsen is the opponent.

With Dan and Diaconu and Gaudet fighting in Romania mid April, Interbox won't be able to make up a card for Bute alone, in May...not competing against GYM's grand prix and the Kessler v. Miranda card...so it makes sense for them to want to get involved.

Don't be surprised if you hear Bute is on the same card as Kessler and Miranda in front of 20,000 at Bell Centre on the 24th of May.

If the fight is in Montreal and with it being on Showtime, the ideal scenario for fans would be to have GYM and INTERBOX join their efforts to promote the fight with Team Palle and Warrior. We could then for example, have the privilege to see Bute on the immediate undercard and Jean Pascal on the one before. All fighters would gain great exposure in the US and elsewhere in the world.

GYM manager Yvon Michel was in interview few minutes ago to clarify the situation.

He got a call from Lou DiBella, who is the promoter of the fight (sorry for Pantera 2000, but Warrior isn't in the picture). DiBella asked GYM if they were interested to host the fight and the answer is obviously yes. However, one major pitfall is the avaibility of the Bell Center

1- The Montreal Canadiens could play the 7th game of 3rd round of the playoffs of the National Hockey League...such precise detail is for Decebal:)) God is hockey in Montreal. So, GYM asked to Showtime if it was possible to switch dates (May 24 vs June 7), but the answer is no because Showtime will broadcast Vernon Forrest and Paul Williams on June 7.

2- Interbox already asked the Bell Center to hold the May 24 date in case Bute's next defense would be held in Mtl.....interesting!

Conclusion: The Bell Center will contact the National Hockey League on Monday to see if they could free the May 24 date. I would be very surprise they accept especially that the hockey team has decent chances for a long ride in the playoffs and it is also a Saturday night which is the best night of hockey in Canada.

    To be followed on Monday!

Thanks for the info TUNA !!
When playoffs come around....saturday, sunday, tuesday, whatever day is good !!
I don't see how it could come off now because I'd be the most surprized to hear the NHL will accept removing the game another day if necessary ! I think the Canadiens hockey team Management wouldn't mind (MONEY TALKS...that would be a huge weekend for them !!) but the NHL might be a little stiff unfortunately !!!

    Yep...on CKAC sports!

I agree with you about Forrest and Williams, but Showtime sees it the other way:?

seriously it sucks cause the chances that we make it to the 3rd round are already so-so, and then if we do make it, then the chances that there is a 7th game are so-so, and even if there is a 7th game we still need to have home ice advantage for it to happen at the bell center! I mean really **** that its not gonna happen

Warriors IS the promoter. Dibella is just help working the deal since he is the advisor to the Kessler team in America. In may turn out that it is co-promoted with Dibella and even GYM. In no way will Interbox have any relations.

Warriors decides the location. Nobody else. It just may make the most financial sense to do it as a partnership with the above.

If you say so! Anyway, Warriors, DiBella, Team Palle and maybe GYM....too many dancers in the dance party....that's my opinion!
Hopefully, everybody will be able to work together to make that fight really happen!

No. I am close to someone in the Miranda camp. Palle has nothing to do with the promotion. It will most likely be Warriors with possibly Dibella and GYM if it lands in Montreal (for a reason).

In other words...no Interbox and no Bute on the card, right?

In that case, it's unlikely Bute will fight on the 24th...couldn't really outcompete this card...right?

Kessler should win, unless he gets caught with something massive.
