    Yeah i said it!! :D

It seems to have lost its dynamic for me. I know we have Couture Lesnar to look forward too. But the rack of talent that was in MMA in years gone by has seen some major names fall by the way and since PRIDE`s demise some of the great fighters we were used to seeing are marking time in minor orgs or just not fighting at all. There just doesnt seem to be much to look forward to anymore..:|

I'm still interested in MMA. I admit that my interest is at a low point rght now. When Pride fell it took something from the sport. IMHO Pride was the best org despite any corruption that can be said. If the best were constantly fighting the best it would spice it back up. I presonally don't think the fighters give it there all and we end up with some snoozers sometimes.

On the contrary it's started to grow on me, mainly because a good chunk of the fights are fought standing up.

I didn't watch Pride or any other MMA org because we didn't get enough coverage here, so I was stuck with the UFC. I remember the Matt Hughes days and I really had a hard time restraining myself from switching channels, couldn't really stand a couple of sweaty guys stinking the joint, rolling around not doing much. Yeah I'm just a casual fan so I can't appreciate that aspect of the sport.

Nowadays you have strikers that are great to watch like Silva, GSP etc. I'm glad the sport has evolved.

I'm getting more and more excited. Just the fact that, guys are becoming better in overall aspect. In 10 years, the sport is gonna be large and great for talent.
    I can't wait

Been bored with it ever since pride fc died. However !!...
As long as they keep a certain rythm and offering regular super fights then it's all good...

Right now ? I'd say i'm overall pretty excited. the next few months (november , december & january ) are gonna be awesome imo.

I've lost some interest in MMA too. Back in 2005, I was the biggest MMA fan. I was obsessed with the sport. I never missed a PPV. But now it seems to have lost it's luster a little. The MMA event that I was looking forward to the most was UFC 84: Ill Will. I've never been that pumped for any MMA or Boxing event.

I think that it is important for MMA fans to realize how much this sport is evolving. If you are the kind of fan that gets attached to the "stars" and the big name fighters... your interest will burn out quickly. Not only do the fighters keep getting better, but it is so hard to keep winning in the sport. There are just too many styles, and too many ways to lose. I simply love to watch fights. I really like watching the mega fights, ect... but I enjoy watching any good fight, and I make sure to keep up on the up and coming fighters.

It is VERY important not to go in with a "boxing fan" mentality. By that I mean... expecting every fight to be amazingly exciting, and writing fighters off after a loss. The styles in MMA will lead to a good bit of somewhat "boring" fights. Also, as I said before... even the best fighters are going to lose, so get used to it.

I guess theres NYE. But there just doesnt seem to be the mega events to look forward too like there used to be. Plus Hero`s WFA EliteXC and PRIDE have all gone to the way.The 2nd tier bouts we used to see with guys like Frye Fujita Fedors brother Aleks, Gilbert Yvel etc etc, these were the type of heavies that could participate in a quality show. Although they would loose MMA needed these quality journeymen as they provided experience and tests for up and comers and added quality depth to there division. Right now the UFC heavy division is a bad joke and there just doesnt seem to be anything to look forward too other than a UFC bill and TUF.. Personally i think its a travesty that guys like Melvin Manhoef will never be known to mainstream fans of MMA..

I remember last year about this time there was similar talk after a few lackluster cards. Then Liddel/Silva happened and a few other good matchups and that talk subsided.
This kind of thing happens in boxing as well, where it often takes a exceptional fight to remind us all what a great sport it is.

I think it stands to get better and better but we need some good heavies getting together to fill out the UFC heavy division. Really after a couple of names I could not give a **** about the rest.

I agree about the heavyweight division in the UFC. It seems like they just can't keep the talent there in the heavyweight division. There are so many match-ups that I want to see between the world's top heavyweights, that I will probably never get to see.

I am definitely looking forward to Arlovski vs Fedor though.

Thats true but you gotta make due with what you have and not complain about things. Theres a good chance we will get Nogueira vs Couture to me thats beautiful right there.
