Agreed. The big ****stains on boxing like Floyd killed the game by taking no risks. In MMA the best always fight each other.

It's garbage. Boring garbage. Once these "fights" hit the ground, it's time to go to sleep. :nod

It's trash.. I get it, it can be fun in the way that a dumb action movie may be fun to see once in a while but that's about it, it in no way compares to the sport of boxing in terms of quality.

Two guys with barely any skill throwing bombs at each other, glass jaws, small gloves = lots of knockouts so I can understand the appeal. Boxing however is far more cerebral, going back to the movie ****ogy it's like comparing Michael Bay and Alfred Hitchkock, I don't need to state which is which.

    You really are naive.

That's how FIGHTS go down. Surely you've had a few, right?

You seriously can't tell me that you'd rather watch a Mayweather fight (as he is of the last 5-6 years) or a Hopkins fight or a Ward fight than a top level MMA fight? Those guys do nothing, don't go for the kill, play it safe and turn people off of the sport.

But you will happily watch a Wlad or Hopkins fight where there's more clinching in their fights than 99.9% of MMA fights?

Yeah, there's no comparison. Comparing MMgarbage to boxing is like comparing a bottle of Muskatel to a fine wine. But the ignorant, toothless hicks that make up its fanbase think that it's somehow better than the Sweet Science? What a JOKE!:yep

Depends on which MMA fights. Shogun / Henderson? How about Cro Cop / Fedor?

The advantage for boxing is that there are many more rounds.

But MMA techniques tend to finish a fight faster.

That's cause in boxing everyone reckons the 0 is the most important thing in the world. I mean if you lose a fight you are obviously a bum????? That's the way boxing fans think. So no wonder nobody will fight anybody

It's not garbage. I'd watch a ufx card over a Klitchko fight any day.

Right now it's probably better to be a UFC fan than a boxing fan because in UFC the best fight the best consistently and each weight division has one world champion unlike boxing.

However boxing at it's absolute best is better than UFC.

You are naive as well. Those boxers you mentioned have paid their dues and have earned many fans during their prime. They get paid tons from the many people willing to watch them because they are fans. They know their fighters declined but they still want to watch.

The same way fans may pay to watch Ken Shamrock fight years after his prime.

Real boxing fans know where to see true explosive boxing with young strong fighters not preserving themselves.
