Is it just me or does Mosley sound like he is having the initial symptoms of being punch drunk? Each interview I see him in he seems to have that "hollow, dull" tone that is a bit slow. His responses were slow as well. Not to cap, but he also should consider getting plastic surgery for that "flattened" nose he's wearing. I think Mosley has been great for the sport of boxing but he's about to give more than he gets and that's a mistake. I hope GBP takes care of him. Your thoughts?
Fighting at 39 years old and he's been through some wars with De La Hoya, Wright, Forrest, Vasquez, Mayorga, Cotto...the list goes on and on. Just writing those names confirms why so many people respect Mosley! I still think he will lose to Mayweather though. Although people don't ike Mayweather and his lack of class, he may have the best approach to the game of boxing. Hit and run, make a bunch of money, and leave the game with your wits in tact. Basically, take more from the game than you give...boxing is a brutal business!
Yea i started noticing that a while back. He is clearly suffering from damage to the Broca's Area which is affecting his speech. Can't avoid damage to that frontal lobe if you are a boxer, but whether or not you escape a boxing career in good shape is genetically predetermined.
I noticed it too. I thought it was just me. I hope he wins and retires on the spot. He probably won't do either, but I'm hoping for both.
the thing is he says he wants to fight for like 4 more years or something like that.... i dont know if im seeing a bit of punchyness or if hes just not good at talking in front of cameras, ive seen some side interviews where its not on a big stage and he seems to do ok, but then his gears seem to get a bit stuck when hes talking on a large stage or in front of the bright lights. IDK.... i really, really hope hes not getting punchy.
He's been sounding like this for a while. Since about '03. But sometimes he sounds fine and other times sounds a little punchy..... its weird. Mosley says he wants to fight until he's 45. Thats another 7 years!
Yep. Both him and James Toney - although Toney is showing a little more of the signs than Mosley, IMO.
No. If you compare his post fight interview after the Margarito fight to his post fight interview after the de la Hoya I fight - you can see/hear a *clear* difference in his speech pattern. He's starting to show the effects...
