Ragarding Margarito AND Cotto. I think both fighters may not be the same after their brutal match. Margarito blamed his poor performance against Mosely due to difficulty making weight. I'm looking forward to Margarito's next fight to see how he does. As for Cotto, he defineately is not the same fighter prior to the Margarito fight. He is noticibly slower. It wasn't evident in the Michael Jennings fight but you could see in the Clottey fight that Cotto is not the same as before.
very fair :good i'm not sure about cotto at 154 but we shall see. but i agree he hasnt looked the same as he did those first six rounds against margo. he was putting on a clinic until he was broken down. as far as margo...i heard he was way over weight coming into camp and was getting smacked around by his sparring partners.
Of course he is in his prime, his last fight was the best fight i have ever seen him fight against the lineal ww champ
He is still good but he is past his prime significantly. His prime was probably 2003. 7 years ago. He is strong and fast, but not what he was then for sure.
the thing is with Mosley is of course he's not prime...I think most people are right on saying he's about a 7 or 8 (10 being prime); the thing I think with Mosley (and a few other, elite older boxers) is that they still have most of their skills, but what they lose is consistency. he's more prone to a bad night at this stage in his career...see Mayorga.
Mosely is not in his prime and that is the only reason Void put out propaganda about fighting, him, the question is whether Void can get Mosley to throw the fight or not.
He's not in his physical prime but hes in his prime at this weight. His technique is better than it's ever been.
