No, he isn't. He's just 37 years old and he took a very rough customer and a very physical fight and that plays a tool in his performance like it would against anyone else. I told ya, mayorga would do more harm than good even if he was KTFO. Mayorga is not in Mosley's class but he can make you look ugly, not enough tho to say he's shot... Nobody who stretches Mayo at that point could be totally wasted, no way, no how.

shot is not the right word.

    definitely seen much better days.

the only excellent performance he's delivered since the forrest disaster was vargas 2 fight.

I agree, he`s not shot. But his speed and timing have slowed up a bit. I like Shane he is a class act. But he should take maybe 1 or 2 fights and pack it in. Or else he`ll finish out his career like most great ones do. getting embarassed by some fighter who wouldn`t have carried his spit bucket back in his heyday...

I wouldn't say shot. He is definitely past his best, but still respectable.

So a fighter who's on the slide goes 12 rounds with Cotto then? Are we exalting Cotto to god-like status? Cotto has shown plenty of vulnerability throughout his career, a clearly second (or third) rate Shane Mosley DID go 12 rounds with Cotto, on even terms. I picked Cotto to beat Mosley knowing full well Mosley had lost more than a few steps and was well off form. But I picked Margarito over Cotto because Cotto is not ****ing all that and a bag of chips the way some fans out there would have you believe. In some ways Mosley looked worse than he did against Mayorga in the Cotto fight, and in some ways he looked better. Mosley stood right in front of Cotto and barely moved his head, he practically handed him that victory. Let's not get carried away.

cotto doesnt come into it in this case,a 2nd or 3rd rate mosley (as you said) is still a hell of a fighter

just for the record ive only twice picked against cotto & those fights were mosley&margarito.
