Stupid perhaps, but we dont know what goes behind doors with management teams. The only thing I do know he faces tough challenges and gives chances to those fighters that many didnt such as Forrest and Wright.:good
There isnt/wasnt ever any guarantee that Hopkins would beat RJJ. RJJ was p4p #1 and was still undefeated (forget Griffin I), he looked unbeatable then. To me it isnt even a decision Oscar + $12 mill >>> Roy + $12mill. '02 Roy is bigger, better and much tougher to beat that Oscar. He's a LHW '02 Oscar is the most popular boxer in the sport and a victory over promises a pass into the mainstream. He's only a LMW and offers more money now, and more potential earnings. Are u Jack Mosley in disguise. Do u really think fighting Roy would have been the better management decision???
Yeah, it was a real dumb decision, terrible business move. But Mosley felt that he beat DLH twice, he deserved 50-50. he stuck to his guns and it ended up costing him in the end. Pride can be a son of a *****, but thats also what makes him a great fighter.
Life has choices. Based on these choices we never know were the road will lead us had B-Hop been the man to beat roy and not tarver. Who knows where he would have been. We obviously know what happened that he didnt.
