Lol, I'm not displaying an opinion, I'm relaying information. I'm not going off of anything, I'm asking a question.

Right, but where did you even get that question from? What's the foundation for it, unless you've allowed the couple of negative things you've heard about Mora misinform your opinion? The question had to have its foundation somewhere, unless you're simply parroting something you heard somewhere else.

Even the people who say negative things about Mora due to his in-ring style and his personality (and who may jokingly call him a bum) would never suggest that Mosley is calling it a day because of this match-up. This isn't like Naseem Hamed fighting Manuel Calvo after the loss to Barrera (ie just a soft touch to go out on a winning note). He was scheduled to challenge for Kelly Pavlik's middleweight title last year and nobody at the time considered it a defense as worthy of scorn as were Lockett, Rubio, and Espino.

Mosley is by no means giving up because Mora is a quality opponent, but needless to say if Mosley does lose to Mora....Which is always possible. Then I think it would be a good time for Mosley to hang them up for good and enjoy the rest of his life.

I wish I knew because I honestly don't know....I'm a Miami fan, and I did a Google search one day, and she popped up.....A NICE ass in a Dolphins jersey... Seemed like a winning combination to me.

Mora has a win over the man who beat Mosley twice.

Mora is 1-1 against Forrest, Mosley is 0-2. Granted, the real, healthy Forrest was the one Mora fought the second time, and he got beat pretty easily. But Forrest also beat Shane pretty easily.
Mora could beat Mosley, but he doesn't pose any threat of hurting him. He's got no power. I think that's where the idea for this opponent comes in.

This is a close fight. Given the styles of the fighters it will be an extremely exciting fight. Mora is a better fighter than Vargas was when Mosley fought him twice and is a better fighter than Mayorga was when they fought. It's more like business as usual than a step back. Style wise Mora is custom made for Mosley and people know it so the line is wider than than would be expected.

To be fair to mosley though, Mora didnt exactly fight the forrest he did..... the world saw what forrest did when he took Mora seriously, and that was a much older and more shopworn Forrest then the one mosley fought as well.

But regardless, i think this is no gimme fight at all for Mosley.

Fair play, most of you have short memories, attacking someone just because he doesn't know much about a specific Boxer. There was a point and there still is where you don't know much about a specific Boxer or nothing at all. This guy posts this thread asking your opinions about Mora as an opponent, and you attack him for wanting to know more about Mora. It's pathetic, you're all a bunch of hypocrites.

After Mora won The Contender Season One, he started acting and talking like he was some sort of living legend.

Mora refused to fight McKart because Bronco is a southpaw.

Mora turned down a shot at Jermain Taylor because of the venue.

Those are some of the reasons people think Mora is a dickhead. It really has nothing to do with his talent or ability.

Sergio is a solid fighter. Shane could loose. But he shouldn't...no matter how he looked against Floyd. He he loses to Mora it's clear Shane needs to think about hangin them up. Sergio is NOT a bum. He's just got a lot of obstacles to over come having come from the CONTENDER. That's how everyone looks at him but he's beaten very good opposition. This is a great opportunity for Mora and a good "rebound" fight for Shane. Depending on how he looks he could get right back into the mix at 147 or 154.

Strangely enough, Mora and Duddy are the two "missed opportunities" from Pavlik's reign that I most regret not getting to see - even though they would have failed miserably in living up to the hype once they played out in the ring as brutal one-sided beat-down knockouts. Of course, the unification with Sturm is a close third (although not so much a clear-cut brutal one-sided beat-down knockout) - although nobody ever believed it was all that likely to come about...ditto Pavlik-Abraham, which would have been the middleweight FOTC. :D

Yes -- In retrospect it seems like Mora paid a pretty big price for backing out of the Taylor fight, and learned his lesson.

Very few people wanted to see a Pavlik/Mora fight. That was a Bob Arum brain fart. At that time Pavlik was in the midst of negotiating a new deal with Top Rank, and the fight disappeared during negotiations.
