Yes you are. Bonavena wasn't a bum. He was never stopped by any other heavyweight in history.

There's only one person on here who hasn't just been schooled but repeatedly embarrassed.
Watch the Ali fight with Foster, Ali toyed with him had him down several times, he fought as well as he needed to.
Who ever said Ali was a power puncher? I'm not aware of anyone on here who's argued Ali was a power puncher, you're simply spouting your usual drivel.
You and your Alt James simply have an agenda against Ali it's pathetic and immature.
There should be another board on here for fanboys under 15 years of age, you could probably be a moderator.

Joshua never knocked down Bakhtov, Darch, or Sprott so those aren't legit stoppages according to your logic.

James / Galvo apart from being the most clueless poster on here, you've also became the most boring.
You just constantly repeat yourself you have nothing to contribute, not one iota of knowledge or sense.

Yes. It starts from the ground. Calves. Hips. Core. Shoulders. Arms and then it comes together wrist and fist. A weak wrist doesnt have to break. It could also bend a bit after impact and much power get lost on its way. Some people are more "riggid'' or natural stiff than others so they have an easier time to transmit the power (not to mix up with generating power from their muscles)

I tried it for myself. Punched a score machine with and without extra tight handwraps. You could even feel the diffrence with the impact. Thé score went up a notch But the force behind it were just the same.

And I think it goes for the whole body and not just the wrist.

A Little hypermobility joints would affect the impact negatively.

Some are built more like rubber. Good movers but weak punchers p4p. Of course you can be both aswell.(David haye) But generaly speaking I see Golovkin as ironman and Ali as rubberboy.

And I also think you overestimate Ali's statute. 6"2 and a shade on that tops:http://www.celebheights.com/s/Muhammad-Ali-3268.html

His passport height were most definitly measured with shoes on like for the rest of us...

6"2. 210 pounds vs 6"6. 245 pounds...

Score machines are useless unless it has a mass on it.A hard punch has to hit a solid surface. core is more important than legs...you generate the twist which is the motion of the punch. If legs were first everyone would be a strong puncher. its torque rotation and how much your fist can absorb, which is supported by the forearm/wrist.

"I get all my power from my forearms" G. foreman

This quote is important bc thats exactly what supports everything really. I have huge forearms for my weight ..I agree with it. Of course everyone is differant but the hardest punchers will generally have thick Forearms.Wilder is a good example of a skinny armed power puncher bc hes tall at 6'7 he gets all his power from the top coming down ( also has hand issues/SMALL forearms)..which some on here are to dense to understand.

No because ANYONE who knows punching ..KNOWS punching up goes against gravity/leverage on a punch...you simply are an uneducated troll thats about it and so is anyone who agreed with you.

I think we are on the same here.

I see it like weight+speed+stiffness

Movement/force starts from the ground. Legs are the biggest muscles and if you have explosive legs your power generated Will be great just from there. Think of mike tysons leaping left hook from the mat.

But then your power obviesly have to go thru your core and arms aswell. Thats when the power transmission become important also. Weak torso and arms = bad transmission. Big muscles and strong joints dont bend on the impact.

so I do agree that forearms are apart of that.

+1

Plenty did, the only troll on here is yourself who laughs off anyone who has an alternative view to yourself.
You present your clueless assessments as facts.
Gravity just does not come into the equation regarding punching technique you are spouting plain unadulterated drivel.
