There are/were some likable traits which Ali had of course as well as unlikable ones. I prefer Fraizer as I just really admire him as a person. They don't make em like that anymore.

People must really idolize fighters. They always want the fighter to be as nasty as possible come fight night but complain when this same kind of nastiness pours over into other areas of their lives.

Eh, King had some points but you know what? He doesn't believe in any of it. It's all Money. Tyson was laughing at King about a dozen years later about how bad he got suckered by Don's political/racial propoganda. He got ****ed over, like numerous others. Most of them black.

Where do people hear about Ali beating his wife? In his bio he mentions he slapped his first wife once and felt really bad and never did it again. But I've read some posts around here that make it sound like he did it a lot more than that. Any sources?

One can certainly object to their homeland's decision to go to war with another nation if they feel it isn't justified. Ali wasn't the first to do this, and he likely won't be the last.

Ali's taunting of Frazier was pretty mean spirited, though it should be noted that Frazier made some pretty harsh comments about Ali's condition in later years. The issue isn't completely black and white.

Dunno, but he likely didn't have anything on Ray Robinson in that department.
