Mundine is the number 1 contender to Sturms title.....saying hes not on the radar is like saying dragons dont know who the broncos are.

Sturm and his team would know every fighter in the top 20 and would have seen video on all of them.

Soto is a good pick for Sturm while Mundine is out of action for 4 months.....about the time Mundine is ready to get back into the ring the fight can be made.

Only qiestion for me is will mundine fight a tune up again or go right for Sturm.

Soto ko'd adam Vella a few years back and he has a 100% ko rate in his 14 fights so it will be a good hit out 4 sturm.

All in all, I doubt too many of us (admirers of Mundines ability) are fools, idiots etc etc... just living in hope that this year provides a degree of legitimacy.

The charades, talk and mis-matches are more than tiresome.. very tiresome.

The Taylor fight looked more like a well coreographed sparring session, nothing can be taken into account from that particular fight... other than Mundine making the weight.

My own fingers are crossed that Mundine engages in a genuine war this year.... A solid test that makes or breaks him internationally.

Mundine on path to glory! We were all wrong in misjudging him:

    From Fightnews.com
    By Craig Watt

Although middleweight Anthony Mundine secured the mandatory challenger position with the WBA following his unanimous points win over Shannan Taylor in New South Wales recently, it appears he will have to wait until later in 2009 for his desired challenge to WBA champion Felix Sturm.

It has been announced that Sturm will first make a voluntary defence against Japan’s Koji Sato in April. The former two-time WBA super-middleweight champion from Sydney is adamant his future is at middleweight, although recently fellow Australian Danny Green has called him out for a re-match of their 2006 fight at light-heavyweight.

The 35 year old stated this week, “My priority is to win a world title at middleweight and Danny Green can wait his turn. Green is waiting their in my pocket and I can whip his ass whenever I want but my aim is to unify the world middleweight division. That is my priority.”

Yeah, yeah, Anthony....same old well worn story.
