to be honest i dont think calzaghe would fight choc unless there was pure mulla in it  HI Guys :hi:
Mundine is running from Bika, Soliman, Kessler, Codrington, Greene, Froch, Inkin, Taylor, Miranda, Pascal, Brahmer, Beyer, Sanavia, Berrio, Lacy, Ward, Larsen ,Kashtanov, Hausler, Sartison, Perdoma, Mendy, Bozic, Johnson, Tsypko, Stieglitz, Balzay, Oganov, McKinnon and Calzaghe.
Why would Joe even bother ? He would be looking at much bigger fights than that considering he prolly won't have many more. Why doesn't Mundine do it again with Sullivan if he's making a 3rd with Soliman ??
I was going to stay out of this one because it's a no brainer. But the suggestion that Mundine is chinny is ludicrous and without evidence. Apart from the Ottke loss Mundine has never been tagged by a head shot that has seen him lose his legs. While he has hit the deck a couple of times they were flash knock downs that caused no ill effects. In fact the biggest shots he took against Kessler would have rocked the best of them but Mundine never looked like going down. The Ottke KO was a combination of exhaustion and a beautiful temple shot. If you know anything about how the brain reacts under such circumstances you'd realise it has nothing to do with being chinny. If Calzaghe asked Mundine to be his next title challenger he'd eat a rack of pork spare ribs, pay for a statue of Laurie Daley to be errected at the top of Eveleigh street Redfern and get a full sized tattoo of Sven Ottke on his back for the opportunity. Why wouldn't he? Pavlik has the power to catch any middleweight but whether he has the speed and game to do the job is the question that needs to be asked but when it comes to Calzaghe the worst possible outcome would be a loss by decision.....and that's nothing to run from against a guy that's undefeated. The colour of the gloves could pose a problem as could the heat from the bright lights. HBO, Showtime, etc, all use different lighting and can cause dehydration. If the venue contains rotational circulation then if often counters the......where was I? :huh That's right, NO, Choc aint running. :nono
I agree, Joe C has only a few fights left and i expect him to be retired by the end of 2009. That means RJJ, Pavlik and a possible rematch with Kessler. There is nothing else worth considering. JC wouldn't even know Mundine's first name!
mundine beats pavlik IMO.and i for one will flip flop and support him against the MW americans.:thumbsup
a return for Mundine to Germany to fight Felix Sturm would sell well. the boxing fans over there will remember him.
