Yeah confirmed on Twitter. Bout time he lost all momentum coming off the Martinez performance. His team turning down a Quillin fight in England is one of the more ******ed decisions if heard of. Also apparently they organised a potential GGG fight but not Murray's purse for the fight, they didn't have a clue.

He should sign with Eddie.

 

He's starting to sound a bit precious with his moaning, two title fights already, two more on offer, now he's going to matchroom to fight argentinian no marks, whats he gonna do?......moan

HATTON PROMOTIONS has taken the decision to allow Martin Murray's contract to expire.

This means the company will no longer financially invest further in Martin's career following the St Helens boxer's unwillingness to commit to opportunities negotiated on his behalf.

Offers for world title fights with Gennady Golovkin and Felix Sturm have been on the table for a number of weeks, but Murray has decided to hold off signing any agreements.

Neither of these offers will be available indefinitely, with Sturm now looking at alternative opponents and Golovkin only likely to appear in Europe once more before pressing forwards with his career in the United States.

31-year-old Murray and Hatton Promotions have historically enjoyed a healthy and successful relationship. However, things have been strained since Martin decided to change his management in 2013.

In the time that Martin has been with the promotional company, Ricky Hatton worked tirelessly to get him the best opportunities available - an incredible feat considering Martin is unable to box in the US.

When Martin was signed in 2009, he'd never boxed beyond eight rounds and had largely featured non-televised shows.

Since then he has won the British and Commonwealth crowns and boxed for two world titles.

In addition to the fights secured for him against Sturm and Sergio Martinez, fights have been brokered with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Gennady Golovkin and Jarrod Fletcher only for Martin to reject the opportunities or later pull out.

Hatton Promotions concedes there has been difficulties which have left Martin frustrated, such as the collapse of a December 2013 contest with Garth Wood and the bout with Fletcher not getting a World Title sanction. However, the reason for that falling through was beyond the control of all parties concerned.

In the circumstances, Hatton Promotions believe that the fights and purses offered and secured cannot be bettered and it has decided it is time for the parties to move in their separate directions.

Ricky Hatton said: "We got Martin a British title, a Commonwealth title and two world title shots. We secured him two further world title shots in the past few weeks and all he had to do was make up his mind which one he wanted.

"He's had six world title fights offered to him in the last two years. I don't think anyone's had more than that.

"To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, but that's the game."

Great reading the PR by HP.
The reason I left was cuz of them failing to deliver fights & a certain member of their team.Using management as an excuse is just pathetic! My statement to come out soon clearing up all the BS what they say

Two World title fights
A guaranteed World Title belt against Jarod Fletcher on the Monaco GGG card.
Offers on table for another 2 World title fights against GGG and Sturm.

Typical deluded ungrateful boxer, Hatton promotions did a pretty decent job for him when all is said and done.

 

This is bull**** they started to slide ages ago. First quigg left and hatton took no responsibility and and all the others are following. Let's face it, there's a patter emerging and all the boxers are blaming hp. If 1 fighter leaves somebody it's questionable on which side the problems came from but for me hp are the common denominator here they said they had got quigg opportunities in America and apparently got Murray all these fights lined up. Lucas brown also seems unhappy I think it's clear who is telling porkies

 

I've never seen someone put such a little effort in that he did in his last fight, he seemed annoying he was even fighting who he was

 

He should join Hearn. Eddie will waste no time arranging a hostile away fight with Trip G all for "life changing money".

 

To be fair I think HP have done well by Murray. They got him 2 world title fights one against a p4p elite, the title fight against Fletcher which Murray pulled out of, a proposed fight against GGG which Murray turned down.

Not bad considering Murray has no big wins and no fan base to think of, yet he could have been a champ by now with 3 world title fights behind him.
