It's a very good ranking and some names are to be carved in bronze: Greb, Robinson, Armstrong, Langford, Pep. Others are debatable. I would remove two (Charles and McLarnin) to add two more: Fitzsimmons (one of the possible pound-for-pound Goats) and Walcott Barbados (dominator in his category in a really tough and competitive era, capable of beating even high-level heavyweights even though he was only a welterweight). Maybe even Chavez, with his record of consecutive victories, 85.
Cheers. The discussion is long and unfortunately I have not read all the comments. A Greb-Fitz fight could have been the goat fight of the story. In my opinion.
That's one fight I've never actually thought of.. what a match up that would be.. I'll do a thread on that see posters opinions
Its almost impossible to make an accurate all time list, as there is too much we don't know about the past. I prefer to rate fighters from the 70s onwards. So my list would be.. 1- Ali 2- Duran 3- Pacquiao 4- Leonard 5- Whitaker 6- Mayweather 7- Hagler 8- Chavez 9- Holmes 10- Monzon
