That's 115 tho. Inoue isn't going back there. I would've liked to see the bouts there, but either of them moving up and they lose IMO, though I actually think Rungvisai has more chance if he moves up and boxes right. Gallo is perfect for 115, he shouldn't move.

Not a fair comparison. Berchelt is still prime. Kov is way past prime and fought like an old faded alcoholic trying to collect a check. No comparison between the two fights. Canelo just cherry picked a former champ who hasn’t looked good in a long time. Now if Canelo beat a legit LH like Beterbiev it would be a different story. Will never happen because he would never face such a dangerous fighter.

Speculation and fortunate for Donaire either way.

And if not for Burnett's injury, Donaire's last big win was pre-Rigondeaux. Kovalev was the champ and had the best win of his career earlier this year.

I just use my eyes and the Kov we’ve seen over the last few years is not the same guy who earned the name Krusher. He’s a shell of his former self and hasn’t looked good in a long time. Donaire looked great and fought brilliantly. No comparison. I know you Canelo fans want to puff up Kov’s abilities to make Canelo’s win more than it was but he beat an old, past prime guy who didn’t seem interested in winning. It’s a good win but nothing special. Canelo has gone up in weight but he cherry picks the most vulnerable opponents. Rocky Fielding, Old Kov, etc. It’s good that some people call it for what it is.

Kovalev wasn't Donaire, if you understand why jumping from 160 to 175 is difficult.

Nobody with sense would even put Inoue top 3. Donaire showed Inoue's flaws tonight and was supposed to be blown out.

He slots in #2 for me. I feel the top two are decisive above the other few, in my mind. But arguing over one or a few placements on the mythical "P4P list," that amounts to a big "who cares?" Clearly one of the absolute best in boxing right now.

Lol, excuses, Kova was coming from 2 good wins, Donaire is more past it, Shot or not, Canelo got the job done, Naoya was almost out and into a bloody mess and couldn't get the old lion out of there.

    4th maybe?

    Loma
    Crawford
    Canelo
    Inoue

Inoue looks more convincing than Canelo in his wins, but Canelo has way tougher competition.

In fact, tonights fight with Donaire proves what I've been saying all along, the weights under 122lb is extremely lacking in talent. So much so that despite all the "champions" Inoue has fought, a shot, past it Donaire puts up way better of a fight.

I'm not even sure if Inoue can beat Rigo if Rigo turns it back and chooses to box.

Oddsmakers had the Canelo fight called correctly. Kov was shot coming into the fight and fought to make it look good. He looked worse than the second ward fight and was almost KOd by a body builder right before this fight. Pretending he’s a top LH is comical. I’m hoping Canelo gets back to business at 160 and unifies. This fight was a joke. Kov’s only chance was to go for a KO and he seemed more interested in just surviving rounds until he ran out of gas. I’ll eat my words if Canelo fights Beterbiev or Smith at 168. Even Bivol has called him out. If he’s serious he will take one of those fights and not insist on rehydration nonsense. Don’t hold your breath. All those guys are too prime for Canelo.

What made the fight dangerous was Canelo going all the way to 175 with no catch weight against a huge puncher shot or not.

No catchweight, but Canelo made up for it w/ only 3 weeks rest and a crippling rehydration clause. And of course, Canelo was all drugged up.
