underrated very exciting to watch with great power in both hands who i truly believe was finished and had lost his hunger when he fought MAB.

he was fun to watch, that's for sure. you couldnt take your eyes off the TV screen.

everytime he fights, everybody tunes in.

half the people wanna see him amaze them, and half the people wanna see him get KTFO cold.

you either loved him or you hated him, back when he was still fighting.

that's the professional boxer's formula for box office success and big paydays.

and he was great at it.

    underrated by most. i say.

but way overrated by his fans.

Very underrated, although once he left Ingle he was never the same fighter and by the time he fought MAB he was just relying on his knockout power to win him fights.

The Hamed at the top of his game under Ingle Ko's Barrera in my opinion.

under-rated, most of the americans on here who claim he was overrated only saw the Barrera fight, or maybe the Kelly fight too, he was way past his best by that time, he should have never changed trainers.

True. Naz was **** after leaving Ingle, he used to be impossible to catch with his elusiveness but that went badly.

He was a total one-off fighter, and one of the most naturally gifted boxers I've ever seen.

I dont know why people talk about the Barrera fight being such a beating, coz Barrera back then was a monster and it was a close fight, 8-4 on my card. It was more competitive than Hatton - Mayweather.

Exactly another myth on here, people make out it was a Calzaghe-Lacy style beating, it was nothing like that.

Exactly. Hamed was exposed as soon as he fought top level fighters. He was a decent fighter, but WAY overhyped, and not even close to great. Not only is is overrated, he's VERY overrated by many, and he was when he was active.

exposed? did RJJ get exposed by Tarver? No he didnt, he was past his best, just like Hamed was. Hamed will never get his due, one he was cocky, two he was English, no British boxers ever get any dues in the US, it wasnt until Lennox retired he got any, he was booed constanly on US soil. Just the way it is, anglophobia in the US is higher than it probably ever has been.

He was in turmoil at that point of his career. It wasn't just the lot. Want to see example of his heart watch the Kelly Fight

He is underrated while ranking him all-time, because of the way he lost to Barrera, another ATG. To his credit, Hamed did clean out featherweight from 1996-2001 and did something great featherweights after him like Morales, Barrera, Marquez, and Pacquiao couldnt do.....and thats unify the featherweight belts. He did so by beating top challengers and champions like Steve Robinson, Vuyani Bungu, Tom Johnson, Wayne McCollough, Manuel Medina, Kevin Kelly, Vazquez, Ingle, and others. He did things in the ring only probably roy jones could emulate. One of the hardest punchers in the divisions history. He is top 10 IMO at featherweight all-time and should be in the IBHOF.

please explain how a fighter becomes undisputed at a weight above his own, wins every single title, and dominates for 4+ years without beating top level fighters...

PLEASE explain, I would LOVE to hear it...
