He wasnt elite, got exposed, and ran away after a sad performance vs Calvo, rather than allow the other elites to beat his ass as well.

I believe Hamed is underrated

Many people view him unfavorably due to his antics and performance against Barrera. But they forget how devestating he was during his prime. Hamed had great power, snap, speed, reflexes, and timing. Is he the best featherweight head to head? Hell no, but he would have been a dangerous fight for just about anybody.

 

How can he be overrated when the majority of people repeat this like a mantra? The people who like Hamed tend to be in the minority, which is why the vote count on this thread surprises me. Some people even hate him based solely on his personality, which is a little silly.

Very underrated, i don't care what anyone says. True fans realise the ability this guy had whilst watching his fights. He has a ****ing unbelievable record, none of this bull**** talk of losing to the only good fighter he faced. Whoever says this is clueless to the game.

 

In some respects he was underrated especially in the US and maybe if he had trained properley for MAB the result maybe have been different. Because he did have the talent to be one of the P4P greats against mayweather.

 

He was a ****, he should have never left Ingle, that right there ****ed him up. He could have been a geniune top 50 ATG imo.

Pity it did not work out like that. He lacked the character.

Hamed was a B level fighter who had A level power at a low weight. When he finally fought MAB he got exposed completely:yep Hamed lacked skill and style. The unorthodox puncher met his match and it would have been the same with other elites.

Did you see him vs Calvo an average fighter? Despite the decision, Hamed looked like DOG**** and barely beat an average fighter.
The dude then RAN AWAY and never tested himself, nor had the RESOLVE to atone for the extreme embarrassment MAB handed him.

I'll say it again, Hamed is THE MOST OVER RATED FIGHTER ever, IMO.

Yes he got beat but their have been many overrated fighters than him. Audley harrison springs to mind.
