Is Nathan Cleverley the funniest thing in British boxing?

Eddie Hearn admitted there was an offer.

 

Im sure it doesnt mate. Like i said his career is very frustrating in the way its panning out. But some of the abusive blind hate the lad gets is a bit much. We all no boxing and we know that 90 percent of the time clev hasnt got the big fights due to money (no big venue in south wales to stage bigish fights , and im sceptical he fill it if there was), schedueling and pull outs. Im sure the fact that his casual fan base in wales isnt as big as it should be, is a big factor. Dont know why but boxing just isnt hyped and followed as much as it used to be in south wales. The local papers very rarely print much these days.

Nath is getting hammered on this site the same as Froch was when he was something like 16 fights into his career fighting the likes of Barney ( Matt not the big purple ****er on kids TV ) lol Frustrating as his career has been this far Cleverly PROVED he is the best L/Heavyweight we got here in the UK despite what the Tony Bellew huggers suggest . i guess we will see what happens if Wank does ever allow him to step it up , maybe the haters that were hating on Frochy will start sucking on Cleves balls in a dramatic u-turn like they did with Froch .

 

Why would he want to go with Eddie Hearn? Hearn is the biggest fraud in British boxing. He has got the gormless public fooled.

Maybe, just maybe, Nathan is happy with Frank. He's got a world title and is fighting in LA on a Showtime card. Why should he be unhappy?

It's not his fault fans who couldn't organise a raffle are dishing out advice on promoting boxing.

 

It's suggested willy-nilly far too often these days,but in Clev's case,doing a "Hatton" is the way to go.Make Hopkins a big majority purse offer and there are enough B-Hop haters in the States who would enjoy seeing someone beat him.
I'm not saying for a second that would happen but if he was good enough,surely a victory over someone like Hopkins would offer retributuion.

 

Cleverley is still only 25 years old and learning the business , i'm sure every millionaire here went straight from school to being wealthy young men , If i were Clervely i would fight a clown a month to get my bank balance up where i would want it to be whilst learning my trade .

Well for starters the offer was made before Froch decided to fight Mack.

Nobody knows the terms, but I doubt Frank would be too greedy on this one. Eddie turned it down because apprantley it ' wasn't serious'. Well Eddie should have called Frank's bluff, not spew out feeble excuses. The fight is there to be made and team Froch are simply not interested.

Hearn has since turned down world title shots for Kell Brook and Gavin Rees. People need to realise That Eddie Hearn is playing his own games.

 

It was implied by saying Cleverly knows things are bad but he can't leave because Frank is vindictive. You obviously feel Nathan should leave Frank.

 

You've got to question whether Cleverly actually wants the big fights.

He's already hinted at retirement, which is never a really good sign, and he's not working with a proper boxing trainer to iron out the flaws which need ironing out in order for him to have a long career at the top level.

Staying at WBO level will no doubt see him earning a good living for the forseeable until he decides to put his maths degree to some use.

 

I'd like Ricky Burns to leave Frank.
Cleverly I couldn't care less what he does.

 

Cleve's still a young lad and has options outside of boxing that in itself indicates a short career Beez , i reckon another three years that will eventually see him cash out his chips with a unification fight or two then he retires aged 28 home and hosed rich for life . Great plan . BTW i can't see him doing that with his current trainer either but admire him for wanting to give it a go .

 

The worse bit about the Froch offer is anybody who knows anything about boxing knows that fight had 0% of happening even if they wanted it due to terms in contracts (hence the £1,000.000), but people who don't follow the sport as close as most on here will see it as a blatant duck by Matchroom and Froch
