I wonder if the tragic McClellan incident will affect Benn's path in any way. If he does have a claim that is.

this argument is why britsh fighters are allowed to be milked by their promoters - and it's also why people have to stop ****ing around and give ricky hatton his props for having the balls for getting rid of leeches like warren and earning a dream fight with mayweather.

    is benn a great?
    is calzaghe a great?

    and so on..

despite the pride of the brits - these guys never beat a proven world class fighter in their prime and that happened because they milked the british public for most of their careers, deliberately.

i'm getting so pissed of saying this i'd really love to join an anger management session for people who disagree with me...

i'll spell it out for you...

if you want to be remembered as a great, fight great fighters during their prime.

if you sit in your hometown and fight stiffs then you'll only be remembered by those stiffs and a big fight will (wait for it) NEVER COME TO YOU unless you earn your stripes upon the world stage.

the only way to do that....is to get out of your comfort zone and put your balls on the line.

Go and have a look at Benn's boxrec record...

If you think Benn was a "comfort zone" fighter then I cannot take you seriously... I'm sorry.

benn is my favourite fighter...he should be hof for sure, but talentwise, falls short of an atg status..but he would have given many atg middles and supermiddles fits...if that makes sense....there were many better boxers, many more skilled than benn..but not many greater fighters.....

He's an ATG puncher but not an ATG.

thats right. it's a joke to compare a guy who never cut it on the world stage against guys who did.

How can you say this. He beat Gerald McClellan, who was prime, and world p4p no 8 when Benn fought him.

Benn also destroyed Barkley (3 weight champ, twice defeater of Hearns), in the states, and in one round. He beat Dewit in the states as well.

prove me wrong. i'm challenging you to do it.

don't label me because you're british and have been caught up in the moment.

if you really believe in what you're saying get away from the beercan fans at the pub and talk to someone who hasn't joined the bandwagon.

i'll back up everything i have to say.

but he didn't..and that's the ultimate fix, isn't it?

you canø't play the "what if" argument with a guy who never did it.
