I suggest you visit Classic forum mate.

You'll get better info there than what I can provide.

And I assure you he's a Euro champ that a lot of people remember.

Okay I'm just going to put it this way, you're a bit new and still learning more about the sport, especially with the history of it.

Nothing wrong with that, learning doesn't stop. There's alot of resources available now to learn much about this great sport. Wiki for starters. :good

It's fine, I understand being a passionate Cuban fan and it's just now that you're starting to have a big breakout of stars. Casamayor was so alone in the past decade. But getting a fight isn't as easy as 1-2-3. There are a lot of factors involve. Just because a fighter didn't fight someone he's automatically ducking.

The division test is Nonito, cuz he the man to beat in the division. He's the ****in champ, so he don't technically need anybody.

From a fan's POV, he does need Mares tho. That fight is too good to miss out on, and would determine who runs **** at 122.

I don't give a **** about Rigo. He ain't done anything to factor into the equation. I'm fine if Nonito don't fight him, but it ain't cool if Nonito don't fight Mares. They gotta break the promotional barrier and get that fight on.

I take a look at boxing records and no fighter had better 11 first opposition than Rigo...look the ones that your idol fought:

    Jose lazaro 1-3-1
Rosendo sanches 2-1 "he lose to this dude"
    Saul santoyo debut
    Jose luis torres 0-4
    Noel alma debut
    Kaichon sor vorapin 4-5
    Mark sales 7-16-2
    Jorge lopez 2-6-1
    Ricardo barrera 16-4-1
    Gilberto bolaños 21-8-1
    Paulino villalobos 25-28-2

    TOTAL 78-75-8

    Look Rigo's opponents

    Juan Noriega 3-2-0
    Robert guillen 4-2-3
    Giovanni andrade 59-11-0
    Lante addy 8-4-1
    Adolfo landeros 20-11-1
    Jose angel beranza 33-18-2
    Ricardo cordoba 37-2-2
    Willie casey 11-0-0
    Rico ramos 20-0-0
    Teon kennedy 17-1-2
    Robert marroquin 22-1-0

    TOTAL 234- 53-11

    That include two top 10 @ 122 and four top 20 @ 122

My friend I don't wanna sound like a fan boy..just records...And over that he is the undefeated WBA champion of the world..he floored every single of his opponents..and he is maybe the best amateur boxer of all times with more than 400 wins with nearly 200 kos ..two times Olympic gold medallist..doesn't get better than this my friend..

Well, you have a thousands more fighters to go through to prove your point. Good luck with that. :rofl

Since I don't have an idol you will have to tell me who you are referencing. I don't have time to go through tens of thousands of records.

Let's not forget that Rigo started late. I'd say he has been brought along pretty slow and pretty careful all things considered. Title? Sure, that is Arum' careful matchmaking and money at work. I'm not saying Rigo doesn't deserve credit, but it is what it is.

Screw rigondeaux, nonito can just wait till someone else knocks his ass out. Rigondeaux is extremely disrespectful in calling nonito so i say just forget him and let the cubans get pissed. Because honestly nonito's career is already set, he's already proven himself.

Rigondeaux is older than nonito and already has more wear and tear. The guy has over 400 amateur fights. Nonito just has to ignore him and eventually someone else will knock his glass jaw out. I'd rather nonito move up and challenge salido, juan ma or gamboa than fight against a nobody like rigondeaux.

LOL, why blame Donaire for that? Blame the politics of boxing instead.
Who do you think makes the fights?

And if I remember correctly, Rigo was still fighting for the belt when Donaire was looking for a belt to win @ 122. Rigo was still interim when Donaire-Vasquez fight was made. And Rigo only became a full titleholder few weeks before Donaire-Vasquez fight happened.

When Donaire was looking for a belt @ 122. There were two title holders on his target - it was WBO titleholder Arce and WBC titleholder Nishioka, it wasn't Vasquez. Rigo was still interim that time.
