Ruiz always seemed like a nice guy, "normal" so to speak he never really did anyting from my memory that would suggest hes a bit of an idiot unlike his former "trainer/manager" makes me wonder why he had such a crazy idiot like Stone with him for so long

Stoney has been with Ruiz since a very young age. If he would have had a better trainer, Ruiz would have possibly been a champion at LH, CW, and HW. He was a very good boxer until he got rocked by Tua. This is why he fights the way he does now. I have yet to see the new and improved Ruiz some fans are talking about, but yes is a very quiet and likable guy. All of his antics after loses is Stoney's doing.

Stoney is the only reason people watch Ruiz' fights, the guy was funny as ****. When Golota and Ruiz fought he called Randy Neuman a **** sucker, among other things as he was taping up Ruiz' gloves in the corner. The guys always picking fights with people, that's one guy who probably got into a fair share of bar fights in his time.

Toney was talking **** and then all of sudden Norman gos:

    Norman: Toney the Phony!

    Toney: So's your mother *****

    Norman: My mothers dead cocksucker

Then Norman ran after him but the guys stopped em. hahah that was kinda funny.

:rofl  That is funny, the guy is out of his mind, he will try and go after anyone. I forget what match it was, but I remember seeing Stoney run over to the oppenents corner to start fighting with them, and out of nowhere he gets decked, that was some pretty funny ****.

NOTHING beats him trying to go after Don King in the middle of Ruiz-Golota.

Yes, the real entertainment at a Ruiz fight was in the corner.

Stoney was a show, unto himself. But as has been said, last I read, was that he retired after the Valuev fiasco.

Stoney telling Randy Neuman during the Golota fight:

What piece of s**t YOU turned out to be! A real PIECE OF S**T!

I remember that, he said something like " I will sue that motha-****er for everything he's got", King just tried to look away all bewildered, very comical.

It's like in the middle of round 5, Golota has Ruiz on the ropes and they cut away from the ACTION in the ring to see Norman Stone 5 feet away from Don King screaming in his face. Security comes over and not so gently escorts Stone away from Don as the round ends.

It's like Norman forgot there was a fight going on

I think he was put into Ruiz's corner for the sole purpose of making his fights somewhat entertaining and watchable.

 Yeah, I remember the one guard starting to grab Stoney, he said " Get your ****ing hands off of me, I'm going". I remember the match being pretty boring overall, but there was alot of crazy **** going on with Stoney. I like how instead of showing the cornermen during the breaks, they showed Norman backstage watching the fight on TV, the guy was screaming and looked like he was one second away from a heart attack, the man loves his fighter.:yep
