i just watched some of his recent fight with kevin burnett and he looked like someone with all the skills in the world but also like someone who doesn't train much.

for someone of his age and ability u would think he would be in top shape at this stage of his career.

his ability to hit his target was superb but if he is going to go far surely he needs to work on his physique. just think what he would be capable if he had a body like david haye.

    what do people think?

He was really looked so good in the amatuers when he was in shape, so quick, mobile and smooth..This weight issue will be the death of his career.

You dont have to have a body cut like Ice T to be a successful heavyweight but even Valuev comes in shape for christs sake.

he was throwing way to many lead punches. right leads and left leads. not much of a jab and it was pretty much plodding work. i dont think the wiegth is helping him use his natural speed advantages. there is another former amatuer heavy called wilmer vazquez who after figthign at 201 lbs....is now fighting at the 280 mark.

all these amatuers wanna do when they leave the ams and turn pro is to eat. the talent and skills will get them by why they can enjoy some good food.

Look at Sam Peter. He's a perfect example. Too much time at the buffet tables, I think.

The reason they defect from Cuba is to get a decent meal.

Yes he is, he could be much more affective if he could just get down to about 240 and turn some of that flab into muscle. If he wants to be world champion and maybe a rematch with Haye at Heavyweight then he needs to get to 225 lbs to have a shot and beating Haye again like he did in the Olympics.

Solis could be very good at 230 pounds.

If he'd cut the fat and build some muscle, he may even be able to generate a bit of power. Not only is he obese and stationary, the guy has little power, from what I've seen.

I think he's a waste and I've jumped off the Solis Express.

Much like Chris Arreola he just doesn't seem dedicated enough to come to the fight in proper shape.

His speed is excellent & so is his accuracy but I think his power is a bit over rated.
