Old Povetkin, who doesn't have half of Usyk's skills and who is actually smaller then him was able to make Joshua look like a big stiff idiot until he ran out of gas. Oh, and Usyk doesn't run out off gas.
Usyk who has far better balance and footwork than Hunter would've made Bakole look like Herman Munster with rigor mortis lol. That's the same Martin Bakole who sparred 80 rounds with Antony ''AJ'' Joshua'' and ''more than held his own,'' made Dubois quit, and acquitted himself very well against Tyson ''2-Fast'' Fury aka The Gypsy King and Hughie ''The Future HW King'' Fury'' in the gym.
For me he is more beatable than Loma who is the closest thing to unbeatable fighter, as displayed by his amateur record, of course some people will say "Salido doe"... 2nd pro fight 100 low blows and constant cheating, this doesn't qualify as a loss.
He struggled against Glowacki and lost the second half of that fight. And most knowledgeable observers had him losing to Breidis- officially a razor thin majority decision. So yeah, Slappy is beatable.
If his chin holds up at Heavyweight then I can see him being champ there too for sure. He could be a Ukrainian Holyfield
Nonsense, they are both on the same general level. I would grant that Usyk might be slightly more skilled at this point, but twice as good ? GTFOutta here ! No, not close. Povetkin is quite a bit bigger. Again, no. Pov was up 4-2 in a competitive bout at the end of 6. He might not, but he might run out of cheeeeeen if he faces AJ. Interesting bout, but AJ would be the favourite.
Sasha Povetkin is actually a bit shorter with shorter arms too. If Usyk had the same bodyfat %, he'd be in 230s.
HeavyHitter stated that Povetkin was smaller than Usyk. The point is, he is "bigger" than Usyk. When we say one boxer is bigger than another, we mean weight. Tommy Hearns was 3 inches taller and had 7 inches more reach than Iron Mike, but Mike was bigger.
I meant height wise, but we still don't know at which weight Usyk will fight at HW. I think overall he's more talented then Povetkin, but Joshua has that power and size. Usyk will probably outbox current Povetkin easily.
