That’s why not to long ago I had Usyk p4p no1.. Cleared out the most competitive division in boxing. Loaded with killers and he came out on top. No1 Cruiser all time imo
He's claimed he will make "the final decision." So he's said it's on him. Let's wait and see if it gets made before we start labelling a negotiation tactic a duck.
From some point it is easy to understand. His most difficult fight in his life was vs prime Briedis, nothing else. Boxer from his purse usually is paying to his promoter, manager, for training camps and pre fight camps, sparring partners, then TAXMAN, and only then something take home in reality will appear. Also he had showed that he had real balls even in amateurs by fighting every one they gave him to fight with. This does take a lot from fighter. Usyk, like even also Briedis and to some extent Glowacki were not hometown fighters. They were world travelers even when they were still undefeated and fought opponents in their prime.
Yeah. There are 0 proofs that Usyk had ducked anyone till today. 1. He had agreed and had fought undefeated prospect in real prime Hunter from U.S in U.S. Not common tactic used by fighters who does have fear. 2. He had fight vs Huck in Germany. Huck is living in Germany. 3. He had fight vs Glowacki in Poland. Glowacki is from Poland. 4. He unlike Bellew had fought vs prime Briedis, yeah, this he had won barely and really razor close, I think even more closer than there were cards. 5. He had fight vs young, not enough experienced but injury free Gassiev in Russia. 6. He had fight vs Bellew in U.K. Really this does not looks like cherry picked opponents for fights in backyard. Especially if really bearing in mind his opponents age, damn, he wasn't old uncles beater.
We're talking about someone who won and unified all his world titles in his opponent's backyards and made all his defences in their backyards sans once when he fought Mchunu on neutral soil Gassiev in Russia Briedis in Latvia Glowacki in Poland Huck in Germany Hunter in the US Bellew in the UK Chisora in the UK And he's doing everything in his power to face AJ in the UK Every single one of those fighters are either legit bangers or KO artists There are ''greats'' who are worshiped by many on here who literally refused to travel to their opponent's backyard or country even once. They wouldn't dare do once what Usyk does religiously and will continue to do religiously. They insist on home advantage and a stacked deck everytime they fight, Usyk does the complete opposite everytime he fights .
Yeah. Even in Briedis resume had been stuff that he had damn a lot balls. Charr in Russia. Huck in Germany in Marco Huck promotion's event, damn, this takes balls damn a lot. Glowacki vs Huck in U.S and next fight in U.K vs next opponent. Huck, despite usually fought in Germany was brave lad, he performed vs 32 y.o Povetkin better than Wach, Takam, Perez and Charr despite Pov was younger and more productive vs Huck. CW was cool division, even Tabiti deserves a lot of respect, guy was legit cotender vs Dorticos and stuff with his fight vs Dorticos was damn cool and unpredictable fight, I was happy to see this fight and other cool fights in CW.
Source? He doesn’t seem the type to pull a diva move like that. 7% of the take would probably barely cover training expenses.
How the **** can someone 'duck' a fighter that is leagues below their skill level? Ever thought that maybe he actually thinks he is worth what he is offering. He knows he's worth AJ, Fury, Wilder and the likes. Not Joyce level... Joyce is on the fringe of journeyman level. Chisora would beat the brakes off Joyce.
The governing body didn't do Usyk to favors like you seem to be insinuating. They're going by their own rules that they have done many times in the past in granting their champions a title shot when they move up a division.
I havent been following it to closely..does anyone know of Usyk will be getting any step aside money?
