Salido beat the **** out of Robert 'The Ghost' Guerrero (you know the guy who keeps calling out Mayweather and Martinez) and stopped Juanma last year. Salido has also KO'd Mtagwa and has gone the distance with JMM What do you guys think?
You bet! Gamboa not only defeated Salido fairly easy but dominated every single round too. The only negative side of the fight for Gamboa was that flash " knockdown " but if you look at it in slow motion you see that Gamboa actually got hit with Salido's right hand then threw a fast left hook lost balance and his gloves touched the floor. Even counting that as a knockdown against Gamboa he still beat Salido to the punch in every single round. Gamboa could had finish him in the 12th but got very recklessly and hit him behind the head. Gamboa was lucky that they didn't disqualified him! Yes, Gamboa's win over Salido is very underrated!
the guerrero fight is dicey they said he was on roids he tested the next day and passed and still lost the belt sounds fishy to me anybody have more detail and yeah its underrated salido is a very good fighter experienced tough and a champ
Well Marquez has a long distinguished career. He has far greater accomplishments than beating Salido. Gamboa is realtively inexperienced as a pro so to recognise this win is far more important for his credibility
Definitely a huge win in an excellent fashion,Salido is one of the tougher fighters on the division and he proved it after beating p4p Lopez.Gamboa could have knocked him out in rd 12 but got reckless hitting him on the canvas and almost costed him the fight by DQ. Im expecting Lopez to beat salido this time to get the OK to fight Gamboa at 130.
What do you mean? Gamboa is the one who handled Salido with most ease... He even knocked him out in the last round, but then decided to foul him while he was down so the ref gave Salido all the time he wanted to recover. But even without counting the knockdowns Gamboa scored, the fight was still a one sided shutout.
