Yes. I think so. I think he's throwing his name for more than just the fight too. I think he's trying to keep Canelo from losing too many fans.

    No

Nobody even knows who GG is.

GG needs to fight on Canelos undercard if he wants to make a name for himself

O$CAR/Canelo/GBP are all clutching at straws... issuing press releases, one after another, trying to salvage what little they can from Canelo's disastrous mistake surrendering the WBC BELT.

Excuses, denials, scheming fabricated stories are appearing in an attempt to restore Canelo's reputation.

PROBLEM IS... after all the BS we are left with the facts.

CANELO QUIT... he SURRENDERED THE BELT, refusing the MANDATORY MATCH to defend the WBC MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION BELT.

The sad part in all of this is that Liam Smith is being looked at as some kind of joke. He's actually a good opponent and someone that could potentially beat Alvarez.

It would've been nice if Canelo demanded the GGG fight to GBP after making those statements in his post-fight interview after beating Khan. I think if he continues to get condemned by the boxing community for not stepping up to the plate that he'll demand the GGG fight sooner than September of next year. He seems like a prideful person, and I'm certain that the criticism he's receiving will eventually bother him enough to wanting to make the fight happen. On the flipside to all of this, if Gennady continues to look dominant, I don't think GBP will allow Canelo to fight him at all. He's their cashcow and from a business standpoint they're just trying to maximize his revenue before essentially feeding him into the lion's den.

    That's my throughts too.

Although I think Canelo did "drink O$car's Kool-Aid" making a fool out of himself inviting GGG into the ring & making rash statements etc. and so on.

:watchout: I see O$car riding Canelo for $$$ until he breaks down or loses another bout or two. Then O$car throws Canelo under the bus, for one more $$$ PAYDAY $$$ finally putting Canelo into the ring with GGG.

Unless Smith starches him out cold, he's not beating cinnamon, the scorecards are already filled out
