Is Overeems striking overrated?

I don't think so. He still has a lot of guys who were actually with Overeem and not GG, like his own personal pad trainer etc.

Obviously it isn't good that he no longer has access to those great sparring partners but I think he'll be OK his striking has improved so much already and is better than everyone else at HW so I shouldn't think it'll affect him that much.

Now Overeem is getting some top wrestlers into his camp which is one benefit of leaving GG as crazy as that sounds. He can improve his weaknesses instead of just sharpening his strengths.

 

Yeah I guess, The only guy who offers anything in his wrestling his Cain and I don;t see him beating Overeem.

 

Note how differently how these Dutch kickboxers move, they stalk more and dont bounce around the ring as much as American boxers or kickboxers. These Dutch kickboxers are even more different to someone like Anderson Silva and Jon Jones.

I see this dutch style the strongest with Gegard and Overeem. Fedor is slowly starting to get there, although he still tend to cast his punches like a Sambo fighter.

Overeem was very lucky with many of his K-1 wins. That tournament style worked in his favour, with pretty much all of his opponents coming in injured from their previous vicious battle. I think Peter Aerts came in with a broken arm, he basically didnt use his right arm. Even Overeem's Golden Glory team and other K-1 fighters have already said this.

 

So many questions on Overeem will be answered if and when he meets Junior. Should be a fight with all the buildup and uncertainty of Junior versus Cain, and may only last about the last amount of time.

Havent you been listening to Marloes Coenen and Bas Rutten? apparently the other Golden Glory fighters have ripped Overeem's pictures off the wall after disrespecting the FAMILY.

GG pretty much is one of the best striking gyms in the world filled with top strikers. No gym in America could even come close.

That's not why he left GG, it wasn't a problem with the management but I didn't hear about the fighters ripping pictures of the wall. Link? Sounds pretty serious although I doubt it.
