I normally agree with your statement 110%. However, I don't think it really matters in this one. Both guys are big at 154, and a little on the small side at 160. I don't think the weight will hurt or help either man. I think it's really just Goosen ****ing with with diBella/Martinez; trying to squeeze out every concession he can. So far it's Goosen 3/diBella 0.

Well then, 3 lbs should have no effect on Williams, should it ?

There are weight categories for a reason.

And the middleweight limit is 160 !

I agree entirely with your post.

I would like to hear from Team Williams WHY they chose 157, but I agree with those who say it won't matter. Just curious.

Also, #3? WTF!?!? Are P4P that eassy to get into these days?

Who cares ? The fight will be made and both fighters agreed to the weight limit.

They did it for selling and marketability of future fights and positioning himself in a position where he can try and sell himself as a WW

Paul Williams for the last God knows how long has been chasing the WW division, if he would to take the fight at 160 it would be that farther of a stretch when he tries to convince people that he should be fighting Mayweather, Mosley, or even Pac. If he is seen fighting fairly naturally at 160 in his mind it will be that much harder to try and sell himself as a legit WW oppononent (getting a bid payday)
