    The catchweight is generally a monetary stipulation. For example if Margo comes in at 151 instead of 150, the WBC will still allow the title to be on the line but Margo will forfeit a part of his purse to Pac because he has a bigger advantage.


    The catchweight has nothing to do with the title and all to do with the purse.

    Cotto could have come in at 147, let Pac get 2M$ more, and defended his title at the full limit.

    Yeah, and that is fine, as long as the title is nowhere near the fight.

    I don't care what ink hits the paper as far as weights and stipulations, but if you want to be a master of the division, you don't change the division to meet your needs, you become the division you want to conquer.

    If he has no intentions of fighting at 154, why go for it's title under false pretenses?
