I'd want to see that fight. It's a win-win for Pac. If he beats Martinez, it's a 9th weight division title which further elevates his immortality and makes him GOAT in my opinion. If he gets KTFO, so he loses to a P4P great who outweighed him 20 pounds. That's more guts than taking calculated vacations.

Yes, if Pac wants to call himself an 8 weight world champion, he should be willing to fight at his 8th weight, and fight the best. Plus, if he wins this fight, he is beyond great, nice way to ride off into the sunset.

Not at 154, he already won a 154 title when he fought Margo, remember? Unless you're expecting Martinez to drain to 154 but put his 160 title on the line, in which case...typical *******ation.

are you guys serious? this fight is not a possibility unless martinez wants to drop several lb's where he'd probably lose a lot of his power

In 1 or 2 yrs, maybe. But I doubt it. Pacman's 154 belt a fluke.

Pac is a junior middleweight champion isnt he? They want to make a big deal about him being a 7 division champ but hes too small to fight in the division hes a champion in?

Or are the *******s going to admit that belt is a farce?

    Cant have it both ways

:deal Finally, finally a pacfan that gets it. I thought you guys were extinct and overrun by *******s. Seriously, this fight has to happen and can happen. Pacman is considered the best WW aside from Floyd and Sergio said he can do 154 no lower. Sergio going down and Pacman going up both will be making their own sacrifices. Pacman can win it just like Sergio can, no shame in either losing to the other, I just prefer Sergio, but not by much though.

Martinez has no belts at 154. I'm talking Pac fighting Martinez at 160 at a catchweight of 154.1 :D (I'm kidding, no catchweights) for Pac's 9th Pac hater suicide inducing weight title. Win or lose, Pac gets the glory. I mean, when was the last time Pac was in a hard fight? Time for him to fght a real challenging opponent, even if he is outweighed by 20 pounds on fight night.

If Pac fights and beats Martinez, I want him to fight Bute.

Pac should eliminate the idea of others that he's avoiding Canucks.

Pacquiao was a huge favorite against Margarito.

The only fight he was NOT favored in was against DLH. Check the Vegas odds from the fights.... Pacquiao is generally the favorite against these opponents. I have no idea where you think you are getting your facts from, but most people did not believe Margarito had any legitimate chance at a win, same thing for Ricky Hatton. Cotto was mixed, but again, there were plenty who picked Pacquiao to not only win, but win big. (I picked Pacquiao to win by KO)

The misinformation that bugs me about Pacquiao fans is that they act like he was some huge underdog against Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, and Margarito. In fact, it is the opposite. On average, Manny has been 3:1 favorite in these fights, seriously, the guy HAS been the heavy favorite in these fights.
